Maybe the system works, I had read the reviews and needed my knives sharpened so I thought why not? It is a small unpretentious facility in a Stafford industrial estate. I needed three much used knives sharpened. Mike texted me when the job was completed which I found to be a nice touch. It was done by the time he said it would be and I was very happy with the reasonable price. He also gave me some very good tuition on keeping them sharp myself which made me feel he cares about the job and not just the money. When I get it wrong I will return for him to fix up my mistakes

We stumbled across this cafe whilst waiting for a restaurant. It has a variety of comfy looking chairs outside and a vast array of arts and crafts and has a very welcoming feel. Stephanie (the owner) noticed us looking quizzically as we were after an alcoholic drink. She was having a private function to celebrate the opening of her sewing workshop!! She invited us in and offered us a (free) wine which we gladly accepted. There was a really friendly atmosphere and we were torn about leaving but we left for our dinner, promising to return the following morning for a coffee. It was as good as she described and it very quickly became our local coffee shop even though we were only there for the weekend. There is a really atmosphere in the cafe as Stephanie seems to have befriended all her clients and they have all seemed to make a connection as a consequence. It was a really refreshing cafe and all power to her in the future. A great way to start the day

Approximate cost: $4.5 for a coffee

We booked a table and arrived in very good time for our booking. We were offered a table in a very busy walkway or a darkened alcove so not off to a good start. We ordered some drinks and our food. Unfortunately my wife spilled her glass of water before anything was served to our table. With no napkins on the table to help dry the spillage we were at the mercy of the young waitress with a very small cloth. She gave the table one very cursory wipe and then and was about to leave us to it till I pointed out the very large amount of water around our feet. She did not seem very concerned about this. While we trying to get the waitress to assist a bit more in drying us and the table another waitress appeared with our drinks. She seemed even less concerned with our predicament and just wanted to offload our drinks onto the very wet table we were still trying to dry. We took all of this as a bad omen so decided to cancel the food and have the drinks at the bar. We informed the waitress of this and headed to the bar. Whilst having our drinks the manager appeared and insisted that as the entrees had already been started that we pay for them. She was totally uninterested in us and only wanted our money. The first starter was a grilled king prawn dish. They had split the prawn and butterflied them. They were the smallest king prawns we had ever seen. The second dish was a zucchini chips dish. It was slices of zucchini deep fried in uninteresting batter and then drizzled with a bit of sour cream. We had eaten a much better version at restaurant nearby (Hellenika) the previous night. Still, my beer was. We had a very bad experience and would not recommend this establishment to anybody. We went elsewhere for the rest of our night and had a very good evening despite the terrible start

It is not the cheapest cuts in town but I find the products to be consistently of a very high standard so consider it to be money well spent. They also a really appetising range of sausages
