Meat at Billy's

I order around $130 meat each fortnight. For the last two deliveries, something suspect has been added to the order. The majority has been very good. Last fortnight it was a kilo of chicken breast. This fortnight it was an entire blade roast. At these prices I cannot afford to play Russian roulette with Billy.

Addendum: After reading my review, I was contacted by Katrina from Meat at Billys. The organisation has been way more than fair in their remedial action. I'd suggest anyone with a similar issue, retain the packaging, photograph it, and take the issue directly to Meat at Billy's. You'll find the office staff will move heaven and earth to make things right.

Also, and in fairness, the majority of the order was perfect.

Always great, fresh meat & produce. This is the one and only place to get real best meat! Highly recommended for meat lovers!

Their meat is awesome, and they give great service.
It is way better than other local butchers and supermarkets and they know it. Good meat is never cheap, but sometimes the price tag here can hurt!

You seriously can't beat these guys for service, quality of meat and freshness. The guys are always happy to chat and help out with any suggestions and the meat is absolutely incredible. Best butcher in Brisbane

There is such a great range at Meat at Billy's I often go and stock up before family Christmas.

Friendly staff, great quality meat, fantastic range, what more could I say! I don't go to any other butcher now! Have moved further out, but worth the trip everytime! If you're looking for a fantastic butcher, try it out. You won't regret it!

I love the old fashioned service at Meat at Billys combined with their use of social media - cooking for anywhere between 3 and 7 people on a daily basis means I am never out of ideas through Facebook, instagram and Twitter. Great service and fantastic ready to cook meals make me one happy customer. A few of the deli delights in the store always make it into my shopping bag as well. Both the service and produce is fantastic! A huge selection of prepared meats (skewers, burgers, Wellingtons, Steaks, stirfrys etc) that are delicious and simple to cook. There is always a smile to greet you and a cheerio for the little ones. Outstanding!

I like meat which is prepared so I just have to heat and eat. My husband is the opposite. He likes the cuts that he has to fiddle with. Billy's has both. And plenty of wonderful advice for the cook like me who finds EVERYTHING a challenge. Love them!!

Meat@Billy's is a real suburban gem. A little out of my way so I don't always remember to come here for the weekly meat shop and am disappointed when I forget. Melt- in- your mouth steak, the best pork belly I have ever cooked with and tonight, we just had Moroccan lamb backstraps that were delicious.
Christmas Hams are out of this world!
A everyone has said, the staff are very helpful and really know their product. Yes it is a bit more expensive than Woolies or Coles, but it is worth every cent extra that you pay. Can't recommend the meat or the staff enough.

What makes a good business? Quality of product and service along with value for money. These allied to the pleasure that visiting Billy's gives me adds up to the perfect retail experience. The wagyu beef burgers are unbeatable. Thanks guys.

Excellent service, fantastic meat. My kids will only eat Billy's sausages and I can't blame them. Their steak is fantastic as is everything else I have ever bought. Can't recommend them highly enough. You definitely get what you pay for at this high quality butcher. Open long hours 7 days for convenience too. Only challenge is getting a park!

This place is a great butcher's, the staff are super friendly and always up for a laugh! Their products are at the higher end of the scale, so not a cheap butcher, but their stuff is delicious! They also have a full shelf of sauces, seasonings & extras, some of which are extremely hard to find anywhere else (only the second place in Brisbane I've been able to track down pimientos). Highly recommended!

Just got back from work and had to go past so called in to get meat for a paella. Not only did I get chorizo and chook but ended up splurging on THREE different types of sausages, steak and well ... the freezers bulging. $200 is an expensive paella (hadn't even thought about the seafood at that stage) but at least our iron levels will be up for the nextfew weeks!

My family and I moved to Brisbane coming up to 3 years ago and only discovered Billy's in our local area just over a year ago. I won't go to another butcher now, because I have found the best. I have never shopped anywhere where the quality and service has been impeccable or the smiles have been so big. I love shopping at Billy's because the quality and range of meat is excellent, if I ever have any questions or special requests these are always met happily and with tips too. My daughter loves her visits because it always involves a cheerio! We have tried everything from the butterflied lamb, wagyu, Christmas ham, sausages, chicken kiev, beef cheeks and lamb cutlets. I have never been able to fault a single thing about the quality or the experience I've had when shopping at Billy's. My husband comments butchers must be very happy people. They provide us with excellent produce and their smiles are contagious!

Billy's Meat sell top quality meat. They stock game and free range as well. The staff are friendly and will go the extra mile to ensure you get what you want. Have bought all our Christmas meat from there for the last 2 years and could not be happier. I travel from Mitchelton to Ashgrove just to get there quality meat.

Always friendly staff, willing to help and always quick to rectify any mistakes. The meat is of top quality, the best flavoured sausages around.

Have been wanting to come here for a while, given their stellar reputation on Womo and I wasn't disappointed. All I was after was some yummy sausages and they had a fantastic range of beef, pork and chicken in lots of different, boutique flavours. All up, I got 4 sausages for $5.90 which I was more than happy with. Will definitely go back to try something else soon.

They may not be the most handsome bunch of guys to pick up a butchers knife, but Billy makes sure they have all their own teeth. But on a serious note, you would be hard pressed to find a better butcher in Brisbane and believe me, I've looked. Aside from the superior quality of the meat, there is a level of customer service that is consistently excellent, friendly and helpful without exception. The guys are always happy to provide advice and there is an obvious ongoing effort by Billy to ever improve on product quality and diversity, something that is not needed but is hard not to notice. This review comes from over two years of buying exclusively from Billy's and i believe it is truly worth a visit for anyone who values quality meat produce.

Best quality, freshness and tastiest meat in Brisbane!

Awesome service with perfect recommendations for cooking and different ideas for meals.

Only negative is that once you've tried Billy's meat, all restaurant and steak house steaks taste bland and don't compare.

Has to be the best butcher in Brisbane - the cumberland sausages are out of this world and he always has the best quality steaks.
