If you are interested in model trains this is the place to go. Lots of interesting models that I have not seen elsewhere. Service is very helpful.

My wife and I went there for lunch during the week and really enjoyed it. This old hotel is beautiful and a great place to relax over lunch. Food is reasonably priced and the service is friendly. Would recommend.

This review is for Old Hobart Town Model Village, Richmond TAS

Clearly the person who built this historical miniature village has a passion for it. It was interesting enough I suppose, and very detailed but was very expensive for the time it took to look around it. I did feel as though it would have been a better experience if it wasn't so costly.

This is an excellent bookshop as it stocks books on almost any subject you can think of. Has a good feeling, and also has advertised events on a regular basis.

Went here for dinner a couple of months ago. Very basic looking place - cafe style. Appears to be family run and staff were friendly. Service was very fast. Food was reasonable and is a good place for a fast, reasonably priced meal.

Approximate cost: $16

This review is for Richmond Lolly Shop, Richmond TAS

verified email - 18 Jul 2012

This shop didn't quite live up to my expectations. It's a great looking shop, very old and done out in old-fashioned style. I didn't think the assorted lollies were anything spectacular, but probably worth a visit for the atmosphere.

This review is for Richmond Gaol, Richmond TAS

Expected this to be just another gaol, but for some reason this place has an atmosphere about it. It has a great set-up of mannequins representing prisoners, and lots of examples of the way the prisoners lived. Unsure of exact cost of entry as it was included in our tour ticket, but to my mind it was the most interesting part of our tour to Richmond.

This review is for Harbour Lights Cafe, Hobart TAS

We recently holidayed in Tasmania and went here for breakfast. Breakfast was delicious, but quite expensive. It cost us $50 for two breakfasts and two coffees. The eggs bernaise were delicious, but only ate there once because of the cost.

This is a great place for dinner. They even have lobster (ring and check before you go.) Can't beat the prices. The atmosphere is informal and the service is good.
