Had to go to Sydney yesterday and not knowing the area we just stumbled across this great Chinese Takeaway store and thought we would give it a try. It was delicious! We had crab and sweet corn soup and also combination seafood laksa. Really fresh and good value too. Wish I lived in the area as I would have it more often!

I have problems with my eyes and see these guys every year. They are brilliant. Always so helpful and friendly. The prices for glasses here are so much more reasonable than other optometrists. They are also patient with me as I have very sensitive eyes and they sometimes have to do the tests over again! They have a wide variety of styles at affordable prices too. Very good.

I use Wollongong Radio Cabs all the time. The majority of the drivers are helpful, courteous and know their way around! I often have to bring my shopping home in a cab and most of them will even help load and unload the groceries for me. Very kind.

Aqua is located on Cliff Road overlooking the ocean/harbour. It is a small cafe/restaurant but they have great food and it is licensed so you can enjoy a drink as well. I had the seafood Marinara and it was delicious! My friend had a fillet steak and it was cooked to perfection. The prices were reasonable (pretty much comparable to others). Mains from 15 dollars. It is just lovely to sit outside and enjoy a meal overlooking the ocean. We recommend it.

I eat out too much! But I love going to Zacs for lunch in the bistro. They are really family friendly and their menu is varied and delicious. Meals start at $15 for a main meal. They have great burgers which I usually go for! They are open 7 days for dinner and lunch and are right in the heart of town so convenient to pop in for lunch. The staff are always nice and dont mind the kiddies at all. Food is delicious.

Situated right on top of the escarpment this restaurant has spectacular views over the Illawarra coastline! The food is delicious and always fresh. They serve afternoon teas, homemade pies, steaks, freshly made cakes, fish and chips. I always have one of their homemade pies. The steak pie is so nice and reallt tastes home made. It is child friendly but also good for a romantic dinner also. Staff are wonderful. Friendly and helpful with the menu. The main meals start at 15 dollars which is pretty good. Unlike some places you arent paying for the view although the view hare is second to none anyway! My friend I go here with is Vegetarian and they cater for that too! Really great restaurant!

I had friends from overseas to stay recently and didnt have room to accomodate them and as they were on a tight budget we booked them in to Keiraleigh. Being privately owned it isnt like your standard backpackers hostel. It is actually an old heritage house! We checked it out first and it was clean, well appointed, relaxed, friendly and is located almost in the heart of town. Close to everything! The beach is only 200 metres away and the city centre is just a couple blocks walk! The prices were really reasonable. They have single, double or shared rooms for up to 6 people. Backyard BBQ area so you can socialize if you want to with other guests. Our friends really enjoyed their stay and made some new friends and I would recommend this place highly!

Thirroul the suburb is gorgeous! And if you like Italian food this is the restaurant to go to. It is in the Ryans hotel but is relaxed and kid friendly. Love going her for Sunday lunch with the family. Mains start from 15 dollars so reasonable compared to other places. I love their pasta! I had pasta carbonara last time and it was so good! If you arent with the kiddies there is a cocktail bar next door where you can have a drink after your meal so it is great for families or couples.

My car recently had a bit of a breakdown! Being a woman I didnt know much about what was wrong so I went to the Yellow Pages and just picked one! Lucky for me I picked these guys! They were so good. Picked my car up and dropped it off when the repairs were done. Also they gave me a pensioner discount! The service guy was very professional and i didnt feel as though I was being talked down to as a woman (sometimes others do). The quote I thought was reasonable for the work they did and I was happy to pay! My poor little car is as good as new!

Wow! Great hair stylists here! First they check your hair type and condition and then see what you need for your hair. I just went for a cut because I like my natural colour but they really do spend that extra time with you to help you find products that suit your hair! Not cheap but if you are looking for a stylish cut that really suits you try here!
