Awesome - a very friendly, comfortable place to eat with family and friends. I ate off the Light Menu (only available in the Bistro at lunch time, but they have a sports bar where you can eat off this menu all day) and it was great value - schnitzel was tasty, the servings were a good size without being overwhelming. Would recommend.

I've been looking for a good fish and chip shop since moving from Victoria a couple of months ago, and came across a few duds. Fancy Fish, though, doesn't fall under this category - their chips are consistenly good and not soggy, their fish was thick and tasty and their potato cakes (or potato scallops, as I've learnt to call them now) are thick and tasty. I've found my new Friday night haunt (and there's a Subway next door in case I want to go healthy when my wife wants fried, or vice-versa!!!)

Good quality fish and chips - fresh fish, sizeable serve of chips, great burgers and potato cakes with actual potato in them, all cooked well. Only drawback was the waiting time - ordered in the shop, and waited about half an hour, but as it was a Friday night, it was expected. Phone order probably recommended. Very busy, people coming in and out all the time. Limited parking, but I got one first go. Have tried all the fish and chip shops in Mooroolbark now, and this one will become my local

Had a swarm of bees that decided to take up residence at my place - just near our pool area which had the potential to create problems when entertaining. Found Exopest via a Google seach, and gave them a call. Straight away, you could sense they were a professional outfit - Di, who took my call, knew what my problem was from my limited description, quoted a fixed price, and was able to despatch a serviceman the next day (even though we wouldn't be home). Came home from work to find no more bees - they had misted and dusted with an insecticide spray which, once the bees land on, it absorbs into their system and kills them. The pool skimmer box was full of dead bees, but that was a minot inconvenience! Very happy with their work

I just purchased a house with an in-ground swimming pool and equipment I knew nothing about. After speaking to Cameron initially by phone, I had a clearer understanding of what I needed to do to maintain my pool, and when he came over to rectify problems, he was knowledgable, friendly and efficient. He diasnosed problems with my pool, and now has it sparkling. I would give Access Pools the highest possible recommendation for anything from supply and installation of a new pump and fittings to getting simple advice on how to care for your pool. He didn't try and sell me things I don't need, and explained what I need to do to keep my pool pristine in terms I, as a pool novice, can easily understand

Enjoy doing my weekly shopping at Safeway Chirnside Park. They have a great selection of fresh bread, a large deli and a wide selection of meat, not to mention the usual product lines. Supermarket is clean, and have never waited in line at the checkout for an abnormally long period.

Tried Manchester Road Fish & Chips last Friday - closest fish and chip shop to home, and new in the area. Was pretty disappointed, especially on my partner's behald, who has a lactose intolerance, and as such can't have chicken salt. Unfortunately, chicken salt was placed on the order without being asked - normally, every fish and chip shop I have been to at least ask if you want salt, and use normal salt as a default. Prices seemed expensive, and not always good value for money - 90 cents for a small potato cake with little potato. On the flip side, the chips were decent and the hamburgers OK. Going to try other fish and chip shops in the area before I settle on my "local"

Just bought a house in Mooroolbark, and wanting to try the local cuisine. Read the reviews on this site, and thought I'd give Sampe's a shot...and was glad I did!!

Whilst it's not the best pizza I've ever had (that distinction belongs to Beach House Pizza in Portland, Victoria), it's up in the top few. Crust was nice - I'm a fan of deep crust pizza - toppings were plentiful and price was pretty good - as others have said, you can get cheaper pizza's elsewhere, but it's worth paying for the quality. Will be heading back to Sampe's - hopefully soon!!
