This review is for Nelson Bay Cinema, Nelson Bay NSW

Great little cinema complex showing up to date films. Has the usual outrageously priced chocolates and ice creams but avoid those and the ticket price is fair. The cinemas are very tiny but that didn't spoil the atmosphere, and it was easy to get a decent seat. Maybe not so in peak time. Service was a little brusque.

We stopped here for brunch in the attractive open style cafe amongst the macadamia trees. The food was terrific, generous and good value. There was also an interesting range of macadamia and honey products, well priced and great to take home as gifts. service was fast and friendly.

We bought a package deal and stayed in an eco cottage. The cottage had a problem with mould which was unpleasant. It was very small and basic, but clean. The proprietors were friendly but on the whole the experience was disappointing and we left a day early. Highlights were seeing a koala and the very nice cheese and fruit platter.

A popular local restaurant which we have eaten at on several occasions. Be aware though that patrons will be squeezed in and you could be dining very close to someone you have never met. Fun sometimes, but not if you are hoping for a romantic dinner with your own partner.

This is a concept store - a small sampler of Rick's full store in Lawson. It will tickle your tastebuds for more of the same so you really need to keep travelling down the mountain to Lawson to experience Rick's world in all its glory.

There should be more stars for this wonderful emporium of amazia! (I made that word up but it seems to fit) Rick is passionate about his world of country decor and brings into his store items from around the world which he sources continually. There is always something new in the stores and Christmas - both in July and December is celebrated in many styles.

This rating refers to the bistro/restaurant. it tries to be 'high class' - succeeds with the prices but not the food - a complaint was sent to management and dealt with, to a point, but no refund or replacement meal offered.

This review is for Cartridge World, Springwood NSW

Obviously a wide range of cartridges available plus a collection point for used cartridges to be recycled. Customer service was a little brusque and arrogant.

A haven for all local artists - purchase art and craft supplies - fairly good selection of quality items. Great for arty gifts for children and adults alike.
