Visiting Sydney we called in late afternoon and found meals served all hours. The very big menu provides food for all tastes and sizes. We all chose various burgers which were extremely good value and even too big for one male to finish! The atmosphere was good and being Sunday afternoon the place was crowded both inside and out. My only complaint is the dreadful unisex toilets. The cubicle was disgusting with some male having failed to lift the seat and had also missed the bowl. As I was wearing slacks it was a very unpleasant experience. Add to this the hand basins are outside against a wall facing the cubicles privacy in cleaning oneself up is non existent. However this will not deter me from visiting again when in Sydney but I will make sure I do not need to use the loos.

Not being a particular fan of Mexican food we were pleasantly surprised to find plenty of choice on the menu to suit our delicate stomachs and excite the rest of our large group. The 'small plates' provide Tapas style dishes for trying while the 'large plates' provide huge meals. We were also surprised to see the place full on a very cold Wednesday night proving its popularity especially with younger patrons. The service was excellent and we were never pressured to order, or finish up and leave. It is in the Sunshine Coast/Brisbane Entertainment Book and extra reason to try it out.

Friends took us here to enjoy the atmosphere and the huge variety of beers on offer. The Sunday session was crowded but then the bar area is very tiny as the hotel claims to be the oldest in Sydney. We visited another making that claim that afternoon too. We had to sit in an adjoining room and could hear the music but we missed out on the atmosphere. We were freezing cold and after just one drink and checking out the pictures of old Sydney on the walls we left a little disappointed but will visit again probably when the weather is warmer and when we can join in the rest of the crowd.

What a treasure Nicki is! Every cat has its own bedroom with sterile bedding, flooring, adult size bed and litter trays. Our elderly feline loves going there and loves Nicki and we have trouble enticing her to come home! Every 'guest' is treated like a special child and Nicki makes every effort to cater for diets, special needs and comfort. We have left our girl there for numerous times including both short and long stays while we holiday with complete peace of mind.several

Building a deck ourselves was made so much simpler thanks to the advice and almost all our needs being available with one supplier. Our timber, wire, attachments etc. were all cut to size and when we had miscalculated, exchanges were made with good humour. You may have to wait a few days for your order to be ready but it will be delivered or you can pick up.

When the shop assistant phones you in tears you know something major is wrong and it sure was. The 18th birthday cake ordered days ago was not the size ordered and it looked like a 10 year old had made and iced it. I had ordered a large chocolate mudcake with chocolate ganache and swirls with iced wording. To compensate the "boss" had sent a second small cake which had the icing melted and some of the decorations had dropped off. Too late to find another cake anywhere I just could not present those offerings to the guests at my grandson's very special party. The poor counter assistant said it was the worst cake she had ever seen let alone it being the wrong size, badly iced and decorated. Never ever will I go back into this shop or any of the other outlets. I really felt for the lady there who was so ashamed and upset. I told her to see the staff enjoyed the cake for their morning tea.

The location is great, once you can get off the freeway and find your way around the one-way streets and find the entrance. Parking is very limited at $25 a day. However our two bedroomed apartment, overlooking Southbank and the Brisbane River, was clean, well equipped with comfortable beds and ample space. However the smell from the bathroom drain was dreadful and despite our efforts it greeted us every time we entered the room. Our room was not serviced on our second day until well into the afternoon but at least it was done. The price was reasonable and it is easy walking distance to the Queen St Mall. I think we were lucky as I have heard some poor reviews from guests in other apartments which are all privately owned and rented out.

This review is for Gluten Free for Me (GFFM), Maroochydore QLD

Although not gluten intolerant myself, this business especially caters for gluten free diets (Gluten Free For Me). My filling of steak sandwich was more than enough to satisfy my hunger. I did find the bread rather tasteless. My friend thoroughly enjoyed her salad and especially made sandwich. The atmosphere was very relaxed and as it was also in the Entertainment Book, it was even more good value.

We were a large group but received fantastic service, nothing was too much bother. The menu provided something for everyone with lots of delicious sounding combinations. Bookings are advisable. There is also a weekly Summerlicious menu offering 3 courses for $34.50 including a glass of wine which we will definitely return to try. The venue is also in the Sunshine Coast Entertainment Book.

After we finally found the bistro, we were moved to a bigger table as we had more people joining us than originally booked. The owner/manager was very obliging about this. We enjoyed a variety of entrees among our large group and everyone was satisfied with their main courses although nothing was really outstanding. I enjoyed the salmon but like others wasn't happy we had to pay for 'extras' which most places include with the main dish. We waited and waited and waited for our waitress to take dessert orders and eventually had to ask the manager for service. My ice-cream sandwich dessert was delicious but rather highly priced for what it was. Thankfully we had three Entertainment Book Gold Cards between our group which reduced our bill. Without these it would have been a very expensive group night out.
