This review is for Gloria Jeans, Mount Druitt NSW

This Gloria Jeans is conveniently located in the middle of the Westfield food court. The coffee was fine, but not outstanding and I do wish Gloria Jeans would offer some sort of fair trade coffee (if they do, I didn't notice). The service was good, polite and friendly. No complaints overall

I've bought a couple of dates scones from a little bakery at the bottom floor of the westpoint (when I did a search this was the name so I hope I've got the right place). The price was very good, only $1.20 for a scone. The first one tasted really good, though the second one was a wee bit burnt on the bottom (I suspect I just got unlucky that time). The service was cheerful and friendly and I'd certainly go back if I'm back in Blacktown westpoint again

Approximate cost: $1.20

These guys are a great way to get good brands at reasonable prices. The item I purchased was under half price and so far I've had no problems with quality. You do need to be willing to spend a bit of time looking for what you need but it's worth it to save money. I don't actually remember much about the quality of service which I suspect means it was standard, reasonable service.

Approximate cost: $15

Got some good kids clothes on sale here. They have some 'branded' stuff like wiggles gear etc. I'm assuming quality is ok as haven't given it to the kids in question yet. Price was good. Service was initially slow as they didn't have enough staff on checkout though they did put extra staff on and the queue moved a lot fater

Approximate cost: $45

This is just your average mini-market at the back of the Westfield. The difference is, it's the only place I've found where you can buy some baking ingredients etc in bulk. And it certainly works out cheaper that way! the only bummer is they don't take eftpos for small transactions so make sure you bring cash

This review is for Aldi, Mount Druitt NSW

verified email - 16 May 2010

Aldi does have a limited range of some products but what they do have is often significantly cheaper than other supermarkets. The big selling point for me is they have a good range of fair trade and organic items at prices way cheaper than their competitors. The down side is, ever time I go, the queue is quite long as they often have only 1 or 2 staff on. But it is probably worth the wait for what you save

This review is for Priceline, Mount Druitt NSW

Priceline seems to stock a good range of products. In my experience, there service has always been positive and friendly. Their products are comparable to supermarkets, sometimes cheaper, sometimes not so it pays to check out both.

This review is for Coles, Mount Druitt NSW

Coles would be my pick of supermarket over woolworths any day. There's more selection, the shop seems brighter and more cheerful and the staff are always polite and friendly. My only wish is that's they'd stock more fair trade products.

This review is for Kmart, Mount Druitt NSW

verified email - 16 May 2010

Kmart is always handy for the wide range of products available at reasonable prices. They are open 24/7. I did have to return one item but they made the process as painless as possible given than I'd lost my receipt. The queues ca be quite long at times which is my only real bug with the service side of things. Otherwise it's certainly value for money.

This review is for Starbucks, Mount Druitt NSW

verified email - 16 May 2010

I've never been a big starbucks fan but my local is winning me over. The service is always positive and friendly. They're happy for you to buy a coffee and chill and chat for hours without pressuring you to leave. A great place to catch up, read a good book or just get some work done in a nice atmosphere. And now they always seem to have some fair trade coffee on offer which is an awesome change!

Approximate cost: $3
