I listed my property for sale with this real estate agency and it was an expensive mistake. The photography they arranged looked amateurish and the agent used price conditioning tactics on me at every opportunity. Their only strategy for selling my property seemed to involve me spending a fortune on print advertising (which achieved diddly squat) and lowering the price. In 3 months they didn't get even one offer on the property. Avoid this agency.

Tim Douglas was one of three agents I got a valuation from when I listed my property for sale. I listed it with one of the other agents and it's just as well I did - the price I got for my house was $500,000 more than the top price Tim Douglas said I would get. If I had listed with Tim Douglas I would potentially have lost all that money. He either had no idea what my property was worth, or valued it low to get a quick sale and quick commission. Either way, avoid this agent.

Bennies Carpets supplied and installed the carpets in my new home. Recently one of the carpets buckled in numerous places. I rang Bennies to try to get someone to come out and look at the problem. The woman I spoke to on the phone was extremely rude. Not only did she flatly refuse to send anyone out she shouted at me until I ended the call. An absolute disgrace. Avoid this business.

I have a Miele dishwasher that needed repair - ABC Electrical charged $143 to tell me the motor needed to be replaced and that it would be another $1055 for a new motor. Shortly after getting the quote a very pushy woman from ABC Electrical rang me trying to get me to accept the quote. She was so rude I decided to get another opinion from a different repairer who specialises in Miele repairs. The new repairer advised that not only did the motor need replacing the flow value also needed replacing. He had both parts in the van and fixed it on the spot for under $800. Wish I had read the reviews about ABC Electrical before using them. Could have saved time and money by not bothering with ABC Electrical in the first place.

I made the mistake of using this builder for my house - not only did he charge me a fortune for dubious variations, the standard of the work was poor - sloppy paintwork, amateurish tiling, uneven plasterwork, leaks and water inundation in a number of areas, wiring issues, poorly done carpentry, shoddy plumbing (including a waste water pipe in the house that wasn't even connected up) and a lot of interior and exterior cracking, including cracked tiles in a hallway. Years of stress, inconvenience and expense fixing all of the problems.
