Came here for dinner on a Saturday night, there was a queue but it moved quickly. We were seated inside where we were given 1.5hours to finish our dinners. If you opted to sit at the counter, it was unlimited time. Good variety on the menu. Typical japanese service - as you enter or leave, the wait staff would greet you in Japanese, service in general was quick as orders are via an iPad and food is cooked as they orders come in. Decor inside and outside of the restaurant brought me back to Japan.
Ordered some sashimi, agedashi tofu, skewers, salad - all fresh and nicely flavoured. The only complaint we had were the prices of the dishes, as they were tipping on the higher end of the scale for the same fare we would be able to get elsewhere for slightly less. Overall, great hangout joint with good food.

Alice used to have a restaurant joint in Thornleigh. Frequented that place quite often before they decided to move into the CBD and offer their fare in a food court.
The "kuehs" are still as good. However, I have to say the last couple of times I had their char kway teow and mee goreng - they were very salty and the quantities weren't what they used to. Service was a little slow but that's probably due to rush hour. So I'd suggest trying to get there a little before lunch time.

Interesting concept of individual hot pots for each patron at the table, rather than the traditional one big hot pot for everyone. A few varieties of soup bases to choose from, a decent variety of meat, vegetables, seafood available on the menu. Their specialty is "Wah" balls (minced meat or seafood balls). Ingredients are fresh. Lots of different types of sauces to go with your meal - and it's free-flow so help yourself to as much or as little as you want. My favourite were the minced pork and the minced mushroom sauces. However, it's not your everyday "cheap eat". 2 of us went in for dinner and came out with a bill of $70, as each item we ordered averaged between $5 and $10. We ordered 2 serves of mini "Wah", 2 hotpots, 1 serve of veggies and 1 serve of scallops, rice and a serve of glass noodles.
Restaurant serves set non-hotpot set and a la carte lunch menus as well. Would return again, however it wouldn't be in a hurry.

Came here for breakfast with a friend on a Saturday morning, very busy when we arrived. Waited for a short while before we were shown a table at the back of the cafe, where there is also a backyard. Kids were running around happily in the backyard whilst parents had their morning coffee fixes and brekky. Good variety of choices on the menu for vegans and non-vegans alike, wholesome organic produced used for the dishes on the menu. Good coffee as well. Nice joint for family and friends to get together. Friendly staff.

Good variety to suit both meat and non-meat eaters alike. Ordered the Green Curry Chicken, green papaya salad as well as octopus and pork ball skewers. All dishes were flavoursome, fresh ingredients used and beautifully prepared. Parents with prams not recommended as the joint is quite tiny and cramped. Food is reasonably priced. Will definitely be back to try other dishes on the menu.

Had breakfast here while waiting for my car to be serviced. Had the pancakes and it was cooked to perfection and plated up beautifully, good coffee too (it was Campos). Nice spacious interior good enough for parents with prams.

Was recommended to Jade Auto Repairs for my VW major service. Not only does Jade Auto Repairs do smash repairs, they do log book servicing for VW, Audi, BMW, Jaquar to name a few. Great customer service, was kept appraised of the service while I waited, patient in answering every query and great decent pricing. Professional, courteous and timely. Highly recommend them to all my friends.

Came to Bar Nosh with friends on Saturday night. Small joint with about 10 tables. Friendly staff and great food. Good variety on the menu to suit both meat and vegetarian eaters. The group ordered Mushroom Bruschetta, Eggplant Bruschetta and Garlic prawns as starters, and for mains we had the Beef Cheeks and Mash, Salmon and Risotto and Seafood Pasta. For dessert, we had the Sticky Date Pudding and Lime Cheesecake. All the dishes were flavoursome, cooked to perfection and were generous in portions. The beef cheeks was "melt in your mouth", salmon was cooked to perfection and the seafood pasta was full of fresh seafood and the sauce was flavoursome. Generally not a big fan of Sticky Date pudding but it was agreed amongst the group, that was one of the best we've all had - it wasn't heavy like most puddings instead quite light, and the sweetness was just right. The lime cheesecake was similar - light with just the right amount of lime and sweetness.
Wouldn't recommend parents with prams as the place is quite cozy, not much room for big prams in the premise.

Gave this place a try via a Groupon deal - All Day Breakfast with Coffee for 2 at $15. Joint is quaintly decorated, decent seating arrangement.
However, very disappointed with the quality and quantity of food served, as well as the service.
Ordered the Scrambled eggs, bacon, tomato, mushrooms and sourdough, plus flat whites. Scrambled eggs were watery and lack any taste, tomato wasn't even lightly pan fried but simply dished out after slicing from the fridge so it was cold, bacon was okay (1 piece), a tiny bit of sliced up mushrooms and sourdough was nicely toasted but clearly not freshly baked. Definitely not worth the full price, thank goodness we had only paid 1/2 the price.
Service was slow as there were only 2 staff and the staff rather rude.
Coffees didn't arrive even after we finished our breakfasts and when we inquired nicely, we were given the "I know that" response. Finally when the coffees came, it was put in front of us with not a word of apology for the wait despite us thanking her for bringing them over after such a long wait.

Will not be going back there again.

This review is for Hakata-Maru Ramen, Haymarket NSW

Flavoursome broth, good hakata ramen. Can be touted as the more affordable version of Ippudo. Decent size servings considering the price and it being located in a food court, generous with the condiments (you can help yourself to them on the side of the stall bench).

Approximate cost: $10.00
