This is quite a big greengrocer with a wide variety of fruit & vegetables for sale. The specials are displayed in front of the store. There are a few checkouts & service was quick. I bought 3kg of oranges for $1.99, yellow peaches for $1.99/kg, sweet potato for $1.99/kg and lebanese cucumbers for $2.49/kg. They only accept payment by credit card if purchase is over $15, so it's not convenient if you don't carry much cash.
This is a huge Asian grocery supermarket recently opened in Castle Mall with a wide variety of Asian grocery food & fresh produce. Might be a bit difficult to find what you want initially but staff was helpful. They offer 10% discount on non-special items except for fresh produce, rice, etc.
A good greengrocer that has a variety of fruits & vegetables at reasonable prices. I bought some peaches, nectarines and a tray of KP mangoes for $20. Quick & friendly service at the cashier.
My friends & I (8 of us) had lunch here. It is a small but cosy restaurant. We ordered a variety of sushi rolls, Wagyu beef, Teriyaki Chicken with cheese, gyosa and aged tofu. The food was tasty, service was good and prices reasonable. The total for 7 dishes came to $105.

I brought my 10-year old Volvo S40 here because the air-bag signal came on & the controls had to be replaced. The cost inclusive of labour was $1050 inclusive of labour which was $180/hr. I also asked for the air-con control switch to be checked but was told there was nothing wrong. After requesting it to be checked further, they found that the A/C resistor had to be changed/fitted for $391 but was only told when I went to collect the car. Since the spare part had to be ordered, I couldn't collect my car until later in the evening so I had to return home again. They offered me a courtesy car to use for the return trip. Expensive to service my car here but I don't think I have a better option.
The restaurant has a nice atmosphere & a good variety of dishes. We had fried calamari as an entree with rocket done to perfection. I had Fettucine Prawns in tomato base sauce which was delicious. My friends had the fillet steak with mashed potato but found it a bit tough & told the chef. Staff are friendly & service was good. Was rather disappointed that the 25% discount from the Entertainment book was only applied to the main meal.
Approximate cost: $24-28
Had iced lemon & lychee drink on the second hottest day in Sydney on record towards the end of my shopping at Westfield Hornsby. So refreshing & service was quick. Good for me because I don't drink coffee & they have other alternatives like tea & various flavoured drinks.
Even though this is a small clothing store, it has a good variety of women's clothes at reasonable prices. I found a white knitted lace top in the sales that was reduced to $17.45, a real bargain. I have bought casual wear before as well.
We came here because my daughter's friend wanted to get close to the Australian mammals like the kangaroo & koala but we had more close encounters than that. Amazing experience for adults as well as kids & spent 2 hours here. There are picnic areas as well as a cafe & you can buy food to feed the animals for $1.
Approximate cost: $27
My husband & I came here for dinner on a Tuesday night where they advertised "All you can eat" for $12.50 but after looking at the selection available, we decided to have ala carte. We ordered Spicy King Prawns & Calamari fried in batter, fillet steak in plum sauce & steamed barramundi with ginger & shallots with steamed rice to go with the dishes. The seafood was quite tasty & the steak was tender. We were given a complimentary drink on the house. Atmosphere was quiet & venue overlooked the lawn bowls although the furniture was a bit dated.
Approximate cost: $16 - 20
