This has to be one of my favourite pizza places in Melbourne. $4 gourmet pizza...you can't go wrong. My standard order is the agnello (Lamb) pizza with roquette, pinenut and lamb.

I think they make their money of drinks though as a pint of beer cost $8. Ouch! I usually just get water....I'm such a tight arse...lol.

Was down at Albert Park the other day with the family on a hot sunny Melbourne day. So I thought I'd pop into Jock's Ice-cream. There was a line of 10 people wanting for a gelato fix, so I thought it must be good.

Finally got to the front. I chose the raspberry and the honeycomb. I must say the raspberry was a highlight. Perfect texture and not too sweet.

Will definitely go back when I'm in the area.

I visited to Brazilian Butterfly on the weekend and had one of my best wax. I am always worried when I visit a new salon as I have extremely sensitive skin and usually get very irritated after treatments. First of all, I called 2 hours before and the girls fit me into their busy schedule leading up to a long weekend.

Secondly, the salon was hygienic and clean (I'm very fussy) and music made for a pumping atmosphere.

But onto the wax, I was nervous because I hadn't been waxed in a little over three months but the therapist, Alice calmed me down and talked to me throughout the thing. She told me about the different waxes she uses, about how to help my sensitive skin, etc. She was a very professional and help me take my mind off the waxing.

She also gave me some great advice about aftercare. Also, I thought that I would be extremely red and irritated afterwards but I wasn't! I used the tea tree wash they recommended and I also bought the BB soothe which helps with ingrown (which I always get). So far so good.

I have officially ditched my other waxing salon even though they were $10 cheaper. I guess you get what you pay for.

Having just moved here from Tasmania, I had to find a mechanic to service my Toyota Prius. I never like getting my car serviced. Being a woman, I always feel like I might get ripped off.

I booked in for a service at UltraTune in Mentone and dropped the car off. I was greeted by June, an older lady which I felt more comfortable with.

Immediately she was able to give me a price for 110000Km service of $420 and a time for pick up.

When I picked it up, she said they had a Feb/Mar special of 15% discount which came to about $350.

Was very happy with the service.

My 2 year old son is one of the most difficult kids to get his hair cut. Last time, we needed 4 people to get his hair cut....two to hold him, one to entertain him and another one to cut.

So when we found Candy Hair, we had to check it out. They had planes and cars (hotrods) for him to sit in and his own tv (similar to a long flight). They kept him happy and distracted and was easy for the hairdresser to cut his hair, wriggle free.

The haircut was OK. You could get cheaper than $25 but you won't get the experience.

I had to get some worming tablets for Chucky, my baby chihuahua. I found Budget Pet Products and their price was by far the cheapest online...so I placed an order.

The tablets arrived the next day.

Ordered takeaway pizza from here. I called up and they said it would be ready in 15 minutes.

When I came to pick it up it up, it was already ready. Very impressed with the fast service.

The pizza was also generous in topping....unlike some unnamed pizza chain.
