My wife and I and four friends decided to have dinner locally and that it was time we tried Randalls at Killcare.We sat down for dinner at 7pm on Saturday. Within a few minutes a friendly waitress had arrive to take our drinks order. We chose the Kangaroo Island Shiraz as a place to start. Darn good drop really!
We decided to try all 6 different main courses and share them between us all instead of having entree's so as to sample as much as possible on the first visit.We shared Chicken breast, Pan fried Smooth Dory with lemon butter parsley sauce, Choice eye fillet steak with garlic king prawns, Twice roasted duck with Illawarra plum & honey peppercorn glaze. Taste of the sea – sizzling BBQ seafood, green lipped mussel, boneless fish, scallop, baby octopus & king prawns in a balsamic & aioli mayonnaise with a sprinkle of bush limes. As a rule, I dont like duck - but this duck was supurb and enjoyed by all, leaving everybody drooling, searching for whatever tiny morsels remained on the plate. In all, it is clear that Chef John Randall knows his craft. Everything came out hot, and much better then expected.. The staff were excellent, Wines hit the spot and overall value excellent. We'll definately be back soon.
