Been here a couple of times and never been impressed with the food, its what you expect but overpriced. The Irish bar is empty when ever I have gone to it and the staff stand around and aren't very enthusiastic neither are they in very much of a rush to get you your drinks.

It gets pretty busy on weekends but the food always is ready pretty quick. The pizzas are great, big, lots of topping and fairly priced for what you get. The staff are friendly, have a joke, and good at what they are there to do.

This review is for Sinbad Books, Carnegie VIC

This place is packed, floor to ceiling with books, there is hardly room to move in here. Everything kind of has a vague section, but books behind books balanced on boxes of books. I'm making it sound like a bad thing, but really it isn't. The owner, I don't know if he is Sinbad, but we can call him that, Sinbad is polite and generally knows where to find what you are looking for, just takes him a while to get out from behind his desk, which looks to be made of books.

This review is for Comics R Us, Windsor VIC

Comics 'R Us was always a second go to comic shop on Chapel, it was always a couple of dollars more expensive than Alternate Worlds but almost always had what I would be looking for. Has a really good range, staff are helpful and know what they are talking about.

I love this bookstore, its been around since I was a kid. Every time I go there it remains as I remembered. Its big, tall shelves, crammed with second hand books. All the pages in every book is that aged orange. And the smell of this place is a cross between the beach and a library, its awesome. You can find most of what your after here, everything is around half retail price, even the newer titles have made it to the shelves and some how look old. Need a book to read on the beach? Go here.

This review is for Reactor Bar & Cafe, Chadstone VIC

It's nice to grab a couple of beers before a movie that could be particularly bad. It can be also good to stop and have a few more to talk after a movie. This place let you do that, it's a bit cramped the bar stools have your knees banging against the bench and if there are a few people there you can be elbow to elbow with someone. But in busy times it lets you sit down and sink a few while you watch the ocean of people that inhabit Chadstone, the staff are a bit abrupt but they are pretty busy most times.

This review is for The Pancake Parlour, Malvern East VIC

It's a Pancake Parlour, with cocktails. Although the daily specials are pretty good as well. I had this pancake that was small and like a pita with a nice mustard sauce and salad. I don't know what it was called. Mustard chicken pancakes probably. Also could have been the cocktails that helped with the enjoyment of this dish. Don't get the pancake-parlour-cocktail-special-thing, it's foul, everything else is nice, I have tested them ;)

It's a nice location, right near the movies, the service is always really quick and friendly. Priced the same as every other pancake parlour as far as I could tell. Can get a bit noisy but there are nice booths that you can hide away in. The I.T is the bomb, I think that's what it's called. Walnuts and banana fried to deliciousness.

Used to come a lot with my family, its not bad, good selection of food, the pizzas are the way to go. Foods out quick and some of the waiters are really nice. However two of my friends have had their cars broken into while parked and having dinner there. Its not a bad night out, maybe catch the bus though.

Quantity not quality here seems to be the goal. I must say however, the calamari here is actually really nice. I don't know how they do it, process the octopus into a paste and make like these nuggets some how. It sounds gross, but tastes really good, and comes with about 8 kgs of chips . They have some nice pancakes and cocktails, alright for a cheap night, ordering with a mind to split meals makes sense for normal sized people.
