I have gone to the Kensington Juction several times on a Friday Night as I was invited to the Karaoke Night which kicks off at 7.30pm.
A bit nervous as I am not really a Pub/Club person I went and to my surprise I had an awesome time and to my own surprise I even got up enough nerves to have a sing. lol
There is a restraurant you can have dinner in but if you want a cheaper choice you can get a nice filling meal in the pub area where the karaoke is.
It was definitely a good night out.
I work very near Springfield Garden. I had seen on several occassions come in with Chinese for lunch and it always seemed to smell good. When I asked them where they had bought it they told me Springfield Garden, they have a luch time special which includes a can of soft drink.
I decided one day that I would try a lunch special. I can only eat noodles and there was only one dish wasn't served with rice. I decided to give it a go (sorry I can't remember the name of it) but it had a combination of meats and prawn.
While they were cooking it it started to smell like they had burnt the sauce. I didn't say anything and took it back to work to eat. When I took the first bit I was bitterly dissappointed as it was pretty tasteless and there was a burnt taste in the sauce. I also could not see all the different ingredients that they said would be in the dish.
Dissappointed I have not been back.
When looking for carpet for the last 3 rooms in my house I went to Carpet Court at Browns Plains. I found the sales people very helpful and not pushy at all, like some sales people can be. I told them that I was on a very tight budget and that I wanted a carpet that would be durable and long wearing. I was shown a few different sample and found the perfect one and the price was great. Within a couple of weeks it was fitted and looks great.
Normally I don't go into this Newsagency other than to do my banking as there is a Westpac branch inside. On a visit to my doctor my son asked me if he could go in and look around. I said yes as we had time before my appointment. On display they had a lovely selection of gifts for the Teacher, for when the children finish school for the year. I found a perfect gift to give to my son's teacher. The staff were very polite and helpful during our visit. If you want to buy a nice gift for your child's teacher to say "Thanks" I would recommend you have a look.
My son has been to this Play Centre a couple of times now, while attending Vacation Care during School Holidays. He always comes home telling me what great fun he had had and wants to know when he can go again.
We looked around at several Function Rooms before deciding to have our Wedding Recption at the Mansfield Tavern. What we liked was there was a nice garden area for photo taking, the price per head was reasonably priced, the room size was good (we had the smaller room) and the decorations were lovely. If you are on a budget but still want a lovely reception then I would recommend you give them a call.
This is a great place to stay for the budget conscious. They cater for a Single person Motel Room up to a Family of 4 Motel Room, if you have a family of Five there is a Family Cabin. We stayed in the cabin and it was lovely. The cabin was clean and very well layed out. Everything is there the only thing you need to provide is food. The cabin had airconditioning. There is a pool for everyone to use. The motel is close to a lot of different attractions, fishing, beaches, restaurant etc. I am saving up to go again :)
When I first built my house I got several Quotes to get flyscreens put on my windows within the whole house. I found the quote to be very competitive and we chose them for the job. The turn a round was quite quick and the quality of the screens was great. Now 15 yrs later I still have the same screens on my windows and the screens are still as tight as they were the day they were installed. I would definitely call on them again when the need arose.
When I am this side I town I like to stock up and buy my meat in bilk from here. It is very good value for money hence you are able to buy more meat etc than you can at other buthcers. The quality is acceptable. You are also able to buy bones and chicken necks etc for you dogs without paying through the nose for it. :)
For a small local hairdressing shop in the suburban streets this hairdress provides a good service to the budget consciuos. Compaired to some hairdressers who charged me $32.00 for a basic wash and trim. I was only charged $10.00 at Rascalz for a trim (no wash). I only went there a few times as I did find that she lady cutting my hair didn't always cut it the same way evrey time. Sometimes I left happy and sometimes I left disappointed. I now go to a hairdresser who is closer and cuts my naturally curly hair consistantly every time I go there.
