Fantastic book shop selling secondhand books. Originally a private business this enterprise has been taken over by a charity and is primarily run by volunteers and work-for-the-dole participants. Generally a good range but of course dependent upon quality of donations. Can be hit or miss - sometimes I won't find a thing, other times I can spend $50. Books a bit cheaper than most secondhand bookshops but the money goes to the charity OARS
Absolutely incredible range of products. Just about everything you could possibly want from a booze shop. Prices always at levels that specials are unnecessary. Great atmosphere.
Very easy to deal with, hard working people. Full recycle centre for bottles, cans, ferrous and non-ferrous material. Easy entry and turn around. Sound prices for scrap metal.
Very disappointing. Very pushy sales people. Left with a totally different product that was not suited to the job in the end. The problem with some of these kinds of businesses is when they earn based on commission.
Approximate cost: $350
A very pleasant store with plenty of coverage of a wide range of topics. Browsing at your leisure is great without pesky sales people bothering you. Also have great email newsletter that gives you great vouchers.
Approximate cost: $40
Straightforward, unpretentious food at great prices. Chicken Korma curry, Chicken Schnitzel, Pasta, baked potatoes, wraps, breakfast, great coffee. Specials such as salt and pepper squid. Summer and winter menus. Gets crowded around lunch time often. They will be moving to new premises soon. Family owned and operated. Scott is a trained Chef continuously improving the food and menu within the constraints of a cafe environment.
