Stayed here a couple of nights while traveling and tried this place due to the cheap price advertised out the front. We were very happy with the facilities and cleanliness of the motel, as well as the comfort of the bed. The motel is an old style motel, with dated decor, but had everything we needed at a very good price. Even though it is on the main road, the rooms are set back far enough from the road that noise was not an issue. Would be happy to stay here again, if in the area.
Approximate cost: $65 or $70
Went for a meal here in the Bistro, while holidaying in Kiama. The Bistro section offers a basic menu, typical of this type of club, but there was sufficient variety and the servings were quite generous. I enjoyed a chicken parmi with chips and salad. I liked the fact you could choose between two meal sizes and even though I choose the smaller meal, I had amble food. The decor is basic, but it was a great place to have a quick, cheap evening meal.

Camped at this Tourist park for a couple of nights and quite enjoyed it. It is an older style Park, but all facilities were clean and functional. Particularly liked their camp kitchen which made camping much easier and comfortable. The camp kitchen was basically a large room that contained a stove, fridge, microwave, kettle and basic cooking equipment, plus table and chairs and a TV. Everything was a bit on the old side, but everything was functional and it was nice to be able to cook, eat and relax in the evenings. The other bonus was it was quite cheap to stay there. would certainly be happy to go there again, if we are in that area.
This is probably the best caravan park I've stayed in and that's why it is a bit dearer than other parks. We stayed a couple of nights in a tent earlier this year and were very happy with the facilities there. It had a great camp kitchen with BBQs, gas stoves, microwave, fridge, kettle, toaster and basic pots and pans available for use. Tables under shelter were also available for eating our meals. It made camping easy and comfortable. I would assume however that these facilities would get extremely busy and crowded during the peak summer season, as it is a huge camping ground. Other great assets were a beach and a swimming pool and spa, which we made use of while we were there. Great place to stay, but due to it's size and the peak time rates, I probably wouldn't like it during the peak summer season.
Stopped here recently while traveling. The Wattle Tree Motel is a basic motel, but we were happy with the standard of cleanliness of the room, bathroom and surrounds. The bed was comfortable and the room had air- conditioning which was useful, as it was a warm night. The motel is not fancy, but was adequate for us and at $88 a double it was reasonably priced.
Popped in here while staying in Wollongong and thoroughly enjoyed a Falafel Roll and drink. I enjoyed the roll as the falafel was moist and mildly spiced and I was able to choose what I wanted included, such as lettuce, etc. The falafel roll was very generous in size and cost $8.50. Omar's itself is a basic eat in or take away shop, that is open quite late at night. It offered a good choice of vegetarian options and was reasonably priced.
The Downtown Motel is an old, basic motel with dated decor, but the location was great, with the mall, lots of restaurants and takeaways, as well as the waterfront, all within very short walking distance. This motel wouldn't suit some people due to it's age, but it suited us, due to location, price ($95 a night for a twin room in summer) and it was very clean and tidy. It's a bit hard to find as it is tucked behind a restaurant and shops, but despite being in the middle of everything it was very quiet at night. Enjoyed our stay.
Approximate cost: $95 per night
Stopped for a quick lunch here while visiting Portland. The cafe had a good variety of food options at reasonable prices. I was a bit disappointed with my vegetarian slice /quiche, finding it fair too salty for my tastes, being used to low salt food. The food however was fresh and I would happily try other menu items, if I was visiting in the future.
Enjoyed a bacon and eggs breakfast here recently and my husband enjoyed the 'Big Breakfast', which included all the usual breakfast items, bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, etc. The bacon and eggs were cooked perfectly and I also enjoyed the latte. At $15 for my breakfast and coffee, it was a bit more expensive than I've had elsewhere. With a view of the waterfront, it's probably a pleasant place to enjoy an evening meal.
Large room and good sized bathroom, but didn't really have anything special that justified the $170 a night price tag. Fairly modern, second floor room, accessed by rather old outdoor wooden stairs. The room was neat and clean with the usual motel conveniences,--coffee, tea, kettle, etc. Enjoyed the stay, but can't justify the cost.
Approximate cost: $170
