Enjoyed the $6 coffee and cake special at Dal yesterday. The coffee was good and the cake was a Red Velvet Cupcake with cream cheese frosting -YUMMY. Don't normally go to this area, so I wasn't aware of the cafe. I will go back, as the service was excellent, the coffee/cake special is good and the other food available looked delicious and the prices were reasonable. This cafe also provides work for disabled people, which gives me further incentive to support the business in future. We were provided with excellent service by a young lady with Downs Syndrome.

Enjoyed afternoon tea here, with a small group of friends. The service was excellent, the coffee was good and there was an interesting and enticing selection of cakes and muffins. I enjoyed a latte, which they did serve hot, as requested and a Harvest muffin (?). It was nice to be able to buy a cake/muffin that was not super sweet. The Sailors Rest is a nice place to go, as you can sit and watch the activity along the waterfront. The only drawback I found that it was extremely noisy, while it was busy. I'm not sure of the cost, as I was 'shouted' and didn't pay.

The fencing place recently replaced our side fence. Their quote was lower than other places we contacted. They offered a free quote and replied quickly with a quote when requested. The work was completed promptly and we were happy with the fence. The workers cleaned up and didn't leave any mess behind. We removed the old fence ourselves, but they will do this if required, extra cost of course.

Geelong Tax services have been doing our tax returns for a number of years. We have never experienced any problems with our returns and have always paid or received the amount calculated by Geelong Tax Services. They are reasonably priced and returns are always processed quickly.
Staff have always been friendly and approachable for advice. The company also provides general accounting services and are Management Consultants, but we have not used these services.

Re-discovered this Op shop last week, after not going there for quite awhile. Will be stopping by more often as I found this shop a very clean and well organised Op shop. All goods were well displayed and everything looked very clean and tidy, which made browsing easy and enjoyable. The shop had a good variety of clothes, books and bric-a-brac and the prices were also very reasonable.

Discovered this nice cafe last week, in the small Porter street shopping strip. Pleasant retro atmosphere with a good basic menu of soup, sandwiches, foccacias and light meals like lasagne and of course a nice section of biscuits, muffins and cakes. I enjoyed a latte and generous sized toasted cheese and tomato sandwich for $8.40. The coffee was basic cafe variety, which suits me fine. Will go there again, when in that area.

Recently had my car repaired here and they did an excellent job, the car looked like new.The service was very friendly and professional, although I was a bit annoyed that the job took longer than I was first told it would. Can't comment on the cost, as the repair was covered by insurance of the person who hit my car.

Often have a coffee here after a walk along the waterfront. Nice atmosphere, looking out at the swimming area and bay, enjoying the sunshine or the shade from the umbrellas. The coffee and service are as expected with the casual cafe style. Have also enjoyed a light meal here, which they happily cut in half, so a friend and I could share.

Enjoyed a meal here recently. We went on steak night (Tuesday), which meant we could enjoy a steak dinner for only $12.50. I enjoyed a tender steak with mushroom sauce, chips and salad. Service was quick and friendly and the meals were of a good size. My meal was excellent, but my husband did say that his medium rare steak was overcooked. You will need to book, if going on steak night. While there we looked at the normal menu and their prices were very reasonable, so as well as returning for steak night, we may try their other nights too.

Great place for a cheap meal. Ate here on a Sunday recently with a group and everyone enjoyed their meal. It is pretty standard fare, with roasts, parmies, etc. The service was very quick, with very little wait time for meals. Very reasonably priced. As well as the standard menu, they also offered a limited menu, 3 courses for $16.50 or 2 courses for $14.50. The Bistro is part of White Eagle House which also has pokies, sports clubs and entertainment.
