Popped into this cafe while out shopping. Enjoyed a good coffee and a beautiful piece of carrot cake, very fresh and tasty, one of the best carrot cakes I've had. Average pricing with a mug of coffee and cake costing about $9. May have rated them higher if they had not run out of decaf. The other good part of this cafe is that it provides training and employment for people struggling with mental illnesses.
After over twelve months I recently re-visited the Bistro at the Great Western Hotel and had a lovely meal with friends. The food was great and I would say even better than when I last visited, a bit more up market than previously. I enjoyed a very nice Chicken scallopi, my husband enjoyed his steak and the seafood platter looked great and was large enough for a husband and wife to share. Well worth a visit.

Enjoyed afternoon tea here recently. They had a nice range of biscuits, slices and cake to choose from and were very reasonably priced. The service was very friendly and quite quick. I also like the fact that the paper and magazines are available to read while having a coffee and biscuit. Mug of coffee and muesli cookie cost $6-$7, which is cheaper than many places.
Took my daughter here recently and was very happy with the professionalism and friendliness of the staff. They showed concern about her on going problems and were though in their investigations and were reasonably priced. Unable to comment on their dental treatment services, as my daughter required a referral to a specialist due to wisdom tooth problems, but I was very happy with the services they provided.
Quite disappointing as far as cafes go, more of just a hot food shop, with tables. The food is basic sandwiches, dim sims, hot lamb rolls with gravy, cakes, etc. The coffee and service were OK, but the place was not what I expected.
Great food, my 'chicken scollopi' was delicious and of a suitable quantity. it was served on a bed of potatoes and some green vegetable, although the green vegetable was a bit scarce. My friends also enjoyed their meal and in particular the gluten free member of our party was pleased with the number of gluten free options available - a lot more than is often available when dining out. Desserts were also delicious and enjoyed by all. The venue was busy, but the service was excellent and meals were served fairly quickly. Only drawback of this venue is the tiny car park, so you may need to park on the street and walk.

Dined here recently with a group of approximately 25 and everyone was happy with their meals and the service. It was quite busy with two large groups and other customers, but they were very efficient and meals were served relatively quickly. I was very happy with the 'chicken mignon' which had a nice mustard sauce and was served with chips and salad. The venue is family friendly with a games room. The venue also provides take away pizzas which is quite unusual for a pub. The only down side is that it is a little bit more expensive than the average pub meal with my meal costing $26:50 and a parmi costing $24. Still it's worth the drive, as the food was excellent.

Discovered this little Cafe while visiting Ballarat. One of the cheapest cafes I've been too. The food and service were great. The menu is not huge, but is good basic cafe food and very reasonably priced. Don't let the rather basic and small nature of the cafe put you off, as the food is great and cheap.
Enjoyed a meal here recently with friends. The food was well presented and very tasty. I enjoyed the lamb and chickpea (something), served with cous cous and yoghurt, as well as a lovely sticky date with toffee/caramel sauce. I felt it did become expensive though, if you wanted a salad or something to go with your meal. My friend had the steak which although very tasty and well presented was only served on a bed of mashed potato and caramelized onions. Salad was extra. We visited at night time and it was a very quiet night with very few customers, but as a consequence with were looked after very well.
Decided to try Ramsays bakery for a coffee and cake the other day, basically because I wanted to escape the hustle and bustle of the big shopping centre food outlets. Turned out to be a great decision, as it is a very pleasant place to have a coffee and cake. The service was friendly and quick, the coffee was good, the vanilla slice was yummy, papers were available to read and it cost $8.20 which is cheap to average price. When I was there I checked out the meal prices and I will definitely be going to try them out. It was very quiet there after the lunch rush, so if you don't like the crowds, I suggest you try it out.
