We pleased t try out this new cafe in the center, The coffee was very reasonably priced, only $3.80, and it tasted great. The soundings are great to, nice and clean and modern.

Dined here yesterday (14th July), It has been a few years since i have last been to this place, and i remember the last time i had the fish, which was really cheap, and very tasty! I was surprised to see that it was still around the same price! This time i got the chicken katsu don, and a large serving for only $7.30, the meal was indeed large and i was unable to eat it all. But it was really nice. Next time i will opt for the small size, which is only around $5.00.

The Freo markets aren't what they used to be, I find the main section is really just one big tourist stop with souvenirs, very little to buy if you are a local. However they do have a number of great food shops in there, with my favourite being that new place with the macarons. The fruit and veg section is still as good as always ! Love getting the strawberries and chocolate on a stick - yummy!!!

New Edition is a trendy book store / cafe. You can sit and read your book and have a coffee from the cafe. Very handy. I have been caught up in there for a few hours reading and sipping on some coffees. They also have a good selection of books, including lots of books you don't find in many places, as well as lots of classics.

What sets this book store apart from others is their collection of unique books that they have available. I always pop in to have a look at what new books they have on that shelf. If you are llooking for a unique book - look no further. One of my faverite titles i have found there is "Unicorn being a jerk".

This is my local pizza shop , so i have had them a few times. They are mostly great pizzas, with a selection of "different" toppings, however i have had a few "off" times, with stale/old/hard bases.

Cheap chinese food, which is lso tastes great!! What more could you want? It is a small little place, but don't let the looks put you off - the food is great!! If you want to dine in book a table to avoid dissapointment, as there is limited seating. The noodle dishes are always a hit.

Went here one night while staying in Melbourne, as it was right next to our apartment (and we didnt feel like going out as we were packing). It is all very self service, no table service, you have to go up for everything, but that was ok. I dined with 4 other friends - and i got a laksa, it was pretty good, i enjoyed it - but one of my friends meals wasn't that good - and she ended up taking my laksa, and left me with hers. It was a crispy noodle dish , can't remember te name. But overall - it was nothing special, and i wouldn't go back next time i am in Melbourne

I lovelovelove a good burger, and flipside sure does deliver ! The servings are big - so it is very filling and worth the $10 +. The service can be slow sometimes, and i often see people who order take away get their food well before ours, but when you are chatting with freidns - the wait doesn't seem to bad.

THis is always a favourite for coffee, it is so nice to sit in and enjoy a GOOD cup of coffee. Haven't tried much of the food, beside the occasional soup here and there, and they are always yummy
