I had been a long-term patient at Northern Hospital. My former haematologist left. I have severe anaemia from Toxin exposure which compromised my immune system I also now have asthma, allergies and anaphylaxis. I cannot tolerate IRON in any form I have severe reactions to it there is a medical alert on my NH file saying I cannot be given iron. My former haematologist had been managing my anaemia with regular blood transfusions. After he left NH there was no follow up I was forgotten despite asking for help. Eventually I was booked into the WRONG clinic Rapid Iron despite the alert on my file. My iron was down to 2 haemoglobin 82 I collapsed and was taken to NH by ambulance I was begrudgingly given ONE bag of blood and told to take it up with the haematologist I was still very anaemic when I was discharged. The DR said it was my own fault that I had no iron I should not have let it drop so low. I told him I had been booked into the wrong clinic Rapid Iron ,I have an alert on my file saying I cannot have iron He replied SHIT HAPPENS tell the doctor at my upcoming appointment. I saw a haematologist .

I highly recommend this clinic to everyone I see Dr Newton one of the nicest doctors I have ever met he understands my complex medical issues and is helping me. The reception staff are polite efficient a pleasure to deal with .
