I received a $50.00 Gold Class Gift Card for my birthday. It got bundled up with cards and I found it again 20 mths later, about 8 mths after it's expiry date. Rang the telephone number on the gift card and the operator suggested that I send them an email and they may consider an extension. Not really expecting them to honour any of it, as it was due to my own stupidity, I was surprised to receive a confirming email within a week extending the expiry by another 2 months. Very pleased not to have wasted $50.00.
Very friendly family owned business. Teenage staff on the weekend are the friendliest, tidiest teenagers you can come across. Very refreshing compared to the "insincere" friendliness you come across in many multinational organisations. If all the other local stores have run out of weekend papers, try Avonsleigh.
Staff know what they are talking about. In our case have treated dogs, sheep, pigs & chooks. Not cheap, but which Vet's are? Have a Lot of products that you need in a hurry in stock. e.g. calcium for sheep that are down after lambing, formula for abandoned lambs. If you need a Vet you can trust, you can't go past these.
Friendly staff who know what they are talking about. Discounts if you join the Co-Op(no fee to join). Great variety and always the offer to get something in if they don't stock it or willing to give you alternative stockists if you need it quicker than they can supply.
This is the Pizza Place we keep going back to. We have a Pizza shop 5 minutes closer, but we prefer to travel, as they taste better and are way cheaper.
They have a great, thin crust pizza base(why pay for dough!!)
We order the Black Cockatoo & the Cockatoo Supreme ever ytime, as we can't decide which is the better of the two. Tastes good for breakfast or lunch the following day. Have to say that I agree with Alessandra's comment about the following day, but it isn't bad enough to stop me returning. The Pizza's do taste great.
Approximate cost: $8.50
Jesslyn's has beautiful tasty dishes, Chinese, Malaysian & possibly Cambodian? (not sure). Everything is always extremely fresh, great home made dim sims, lovely fresh sushi. Old style laminated furnishings, but put the kitchen behind a fancy decor with tablecloths etc. & you would have 4 star plus dining. Friendly staff, great service . Brilliant Take Away in the hills. Wish they were open Sunday nights though
Rang the store on Tuesday morning regarding whether they had a particular feed in stock. They didn't have what I wanted, but thought it may be coming in their anticipated delivery after 2:30 pm, and the young staffer offered to call me back when the shipment arrived. I recieved my phone call at 3pm. I was not a regular customer, had never shopped there before, so was pleased to be treated with such courtesy. They didn't end up having what I wanted, but had a suitable alternative, to get me out of trouble. Pleasant courteous staff & owner operators, when I visited the store.
Friendly staff, great variety in tiny store. They have the best seasoned, roasted chickens you can buy anywhere. If you need to cater for an event, just place an order and it will be ready for collection on time. If you need them to stock anything that they don't normally carry, all you need to do is ask. Great specials, and they generally manage to carry a more than adequate supply of these. (Nothing worse than going to buy something that is advertised but none in stock.
Has change hands in the last 12 to 18mths, but the previous staff are still there and still more than happy to "go the extra mile".
We get our home grown lambs cut & packed by Trudy & Andrew.
Andrew was very helpful when we first rang him about getting our own lambs processed. He suggested the best time to deliver the lambs to the abbatoirs and told us in clear detail what we needed to do (and include in written instructions for the abbatoirs) as the abbatoirs is unmanned over the weekend when we would be dropping off. We had not been customers of Andrew's prior to ringing him out of the blue for advice. Both he and Trudy are always very helpful and accommodating with their advice and always very pleasant to deal with. For novices new to raising our own meat, and who had never purchased from Andrew, the fact that he took the time with us initially, and with our many queries & requests since, is a credit to him and his business.
Nice meals, good service. No Lambs fry available at 12:30 lunchtime on a Thursday, even though it was on the menu, not sure why, as there is plenty of Spring lamb around at the moment.
