Brown Sugar Bakery - YUM!! The best tasting and LOOKING cakes I've ever eaten, especially the caramel mud... and the chicken pies are to die for, light, flaky pastry and creamy chicken. Jayme behind the counter is always friendly and welcoming, and the prices are more than fair.
I had a very poor experience at PSCC. The preacher was a guest from the US, and shouted his whole sermon. The entire service felt as though it was based on hype, not passion, and I couldn't wait to get back to my own church. Never again.
We see Dr Deady, and he is brilliant! Always listens carefully, and is very thorough in his exam, he picked up my pneumonia early, when I'd been told for a week that I had nothing but a cold. He is a lovely man, and I'd recommend all my family and friends to him. The clinic also bulk bills.
Approximate cost: $free
We were very unhappy with Mill Park Super Clinic. Aside from waiting for 3 hours for our then 6 month old to be seen, the dr was rude, and incredibly difficult to understand due to his lack of english skills. He then prescribed Phenergan, which is not recommended for children under 2 years of age. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone.
The coffee at Cafe Julia is second to none, although the hot chocolate is a little too strong for my tastes. The food is always fresh and tasty, some of it is a little overpriced, but generally not. The art on the walls gives you something nice to look at while you enjoy a lasagne and coffee for lunch.
I've been going to Sammy's for approximately 10 years, and never had a bad experience yet! Sammy's chips are always hot, crispy, and taste amazing, and the chicken is moist and tasty, never dry.
Excellent quality meals. My partner and I both had the porterhouse, and it was cooked exactly to order, and served hot with FRESH, perfectly cooked vegetables. The staff were friendly, although a little scarce.
Approximate cost: $30
Excellent coffee, in a perfect location, based right outside woolies. The smell of coffee draws you in as you go through the registers - very clever marketing!
The food at The Glen is amazing - reasonably expensive, good size serves, and always fresh. The staff make it a pleasant experience, as does the choice of indoors, on street, or courtyard dining.
I love the Mernda Bakery... the bread is beautifully soft and fresh, the coffee is perfect, never too bitter, and always hot enough... the pies and cakes are the best in town!
