My baby daughter was one week old are needed to have a frenectomy for being tongue-tied (basically snipping the little bit of skin under the tongue which connects to the floor of the mouth) as she was unable to feed properly.
My MCHN suggested we go and see Dr Du Preez at this medical centre as she could perform the frenectomy (apparently something not many doctors will do).
She was very friendly and the procedure was over with very quickly. I was a bit apprehensive about it, but she assured me it was a very simple and painfree procedure. In fact, my daughter slept through it and didn't even flinch when the skin was snipped!
The procedure cost $58 to do, of which I received $34.30 back from Medicare. Unfortunatley this clinic does not bulk bill.
There is an area set up for children to play in the waiting room and there is also a pathology clinic (which I have used in the past for getting GTT tests done)

Approximate cost: $58

We needed to have the bottom panel of glass replaced in my daughters bedroom as she had fallen into it and cracked it.
They arrived half an hour earlier than advised but that was not a problem - rather early than late as seems to be the case with most tradesmen!
They took about an hour to remove the original pane of glass and replace it with a new one. They did not leave a huge mess everywhere and took the broken glass away for disposal.
As we rent, I was worried that the timber frame and paintwork would be damaged when replacing the glass, but the only way you can tell that the glass has been changed is because that pane of glass is now sparkling clean!
They were very friendly and did a great job!

Approximate cost: $132
