Went here for lunch with my mum, aunt and grandmother on a Tuesday. It wasn't very busy and our meals came out pretty quick. We were all pretty disappointed. I had chicken carbonara. It was a mountain of pasta and onion, very bland cream sauce and about 3 pieces of chicken and 4 pieces of bacon. I still haven't seen the baby spinach that the menu said was in it. Mum and Grandma had the coconut prawns, both were disappointed as they were battered prawns and very little coconut, some had none at all. The prices were pretty expensive too for a pub.
They had a decent variety of food, and the staff were friendly enough, but I doubt I will be going back any time soon.
Had lunch here for a friends birthday yesterday. There were 10 of us plus a baby. It was very quiet which was good. Food came fairly quickly considering there were 10 of us. Everyone really enjoyed their meals and the quantity on the plate was perfect! Enough to fill us up but not to the point of over-filling. My meal was fresh and flavoursome and a great price.
The staff could be a bit friendlier, but was helpful when asked.
Always friendly staff with great service. Great variety of food and drink and everytime I have eaten here its always been fresh, fast and great portion size. Usually pretty busy as it is the only real cafe in the centre but worth it!
We didn't have a booking, we just turned up as we arrived late into Canberra, but they were very accommodating. The rooms are large, the beds are some of the most comfortable I have slept in. They have an on-sire Italian restaurant that does room service and its very yummy, and they do full buffet breakfasts in the Atrium which is worth the money and fresh and yummy.
Its close to the city and all the attractions that Canberra has to offer. Lots of secure off street parking and 24 hour check-in are all bonuses!
We are already planning our next trip to Canberra so we can stay here again!
Approximate cost: $125
Had lunch here during our road trip and were very happy. Fresh food, great variety. Yummy milkshakes. Very comfortable and quiet atmosphere, not too busy and in the centre of the street so central to what you are wanting to do.
Great place to stay! We stayed here for two nights with our 8 month old and we very impressed. Clean, comfortable and quiet considering it is on a major road. Its close to Lygon St and the zoo and Sydney Rd is within walking distance with some yummy food. The city is only a short drive or tramride away.
Parking can be an issue if you have a high car or during busy times, but we didnt have an issue.
Will stay again as the price is also very reasonable for being this close to the city.
Approximate cost: $115
We stayed here for one night on our road trip to Mdelbourne from Newcastle. Its a case of you get what you paid for, but having said that, it was comfoortable and did the job. Was a little dirty and run down, but the bed was comfy and the shower was hot. GREAT views over town and parking right at your door.
Approximate cost: $68
Got some take away pasta from here for dinner as we were craving pasta. Very happy! The carbonara is delicious and the pesto is pretty good. Garlic bread is yum! Generous sizes for a great price.
We went here for breakfast on a sunday morning before heading to the markets. It wasn't too busy and we didnt have to wait too long for our meals. I had the eggs benedict and hubby had the porridge. My eggs benedict was very yummy and a great portion size, hubbys porridge was also a great portion size but was lacking a little flavour. The teas and hot chocolates were very yummy!
Great location and atmosphere!
Went here for breakfast and it was good. Were a few people dining here which we took as a good sign being from out of town. I had bacon and eggs and hubby had the museli. Mine was cold and hubbys was a bit bland. The teas were very yummy though!
