Bulk billing for students is great, and the doctors know what they are talking about. However, appointments book out fast, and they'll only book a week in advance. And while patients must turn up punctually for their appointments, they can also expect an average wait of 5-10 minutes after their appointment time because the appointments often are running behind, especially in the afternoon.

If you get a doctor you really like, it's worth booking your next appointment specifically with them.

Urban Pantry is very popular- if you plan on a weekend breakfast you absolutely have to book. Otherwise the wait can easily be an hour or more!

That said, the coffee and the atmosphere are worth it! These guys know how to make coffee.

They also do a very good Italian-style dinner!

Generally a really good experience- they do great coffee and very trendy breakfast and lunch dishes. Unfortunately we had a bit of miscommunication with the waiter when there weren't enough of the special left for everyone who wanted to try it- the dish that came out had the wrong kind of eggs and the kitchen refused to do up some scrambled eggs to correct the mistake. But, the staff were lovely and did give the diner a fantastic cupcake to make up for it.

If you go on a weekend it's like all other Manuka cafes worth mentioning, and you should definitely be prepared for a bit of a wait.

Lot's of hipsters here. Sometimes the timing of the mood lighting and the house music is a bit off- too soon and too loud, but mostly it's a nice place to have a cocktail or two.

Great place to hang out and play a few games of pool. The staff are pretty laid back and friendly, and they've always got Triple J going during the day. Keep an eye out for some great bands that come through ANU Bar.

It can get quite busy, but they get some great indie acts coming through Transit and it's worth it for that. Also worth checking it out on a quieter night- they get some great, but pretty unknown, talent coming through.

Great place to hang out with friends after class, when you need to unwind and get away from uni. Really good chips and the beer is pretty well-priced as well.

The 2 for 1 pizza deals are fantastic, adn they have a good selection of beers and ciders (pear cider in particular) to create a good pub-style meal.

A really classy location for a drink at the end of the week! The drinks are pretty well priced given the nature of the venue. They get some really good speakers coming through as well.

Coffee here totally depends on the barista making it- much like Degree. But the student meal deals are great, making it a really affordable breakfast or lunch option.
