We visited Kunyit for a birthday dinner as we had heard quite good things about it but we will definitely not return to this restaurant. The service was OK, water was brought to our table and was refilled but we were not asked if we would like anything else to drink, which I thought was a bit odd. Spring rolls, curry puffs and san choy bow were fine, rendang was OK but the long black hair wound through the broccoli in our chicken and veg dish was not! We returned the plate and were told that it would be replaced, unfortunately the same plate was returned to our table,minus the broccoli. As we were given the bill, we were told that the steamed rice ( $4.00 ) was 'on the house'. We were appalled by the lack of apology and the insult of free steamed rice. These things can happen, so we were discreet in approaching the person in charge but we were not satisfied with his response. WOMOW is our way of responding. An awful birthday dinner.

I love the food and the whole concept. I just hope that it will be there forever, as they do some amazing work at Lentils. The food is fresh, abundant and varied.

Annie makes a sensational patchouli and lavender room spray ( 15.00 ) which I cannot be without. The soap pods are divine and the body lotion is very very good. I love her products.

We needed a new aerial for HD TV as well as three new aerial points. I consulted the HD approved technicians on a government website and found Damon. I called him and we made a time for him to check out what needed to be done. He moved our Foxtel point, provided an analogue/HD aerial, three new points and a set top box for one room. He has also wired us up to have speakers put in the ceiling, so it was a pretty big job which took a while but he was great. I would recommend him to anyone. He also does phone, data and internet cabling and satellite installations etc.

Andrew's is my absolute favorite book shop. I love the way everything is arranged and the service is fantastic. I think the prices on some books are actually cheaper than in the major book shops. I am really happy to support this business.

Great variety on the menu at this takeaway chicken shop. Food is consistently good and I wish I lived a bit closer because it would be our regular spot.

James responded very quickly to our call about a leaking hydronic panel in one of the bedrooms. He fixed the leak, then checked all other panels and found that several needed minor repair. I would definitely use him again if we have problems with the heating, as I found him to be friendly, professional and competent. He also specialises in refrigerated air conditioning.

Consistently excellent coffee and meals are very good. Service is great but can be a little lack lustre if the owner is not there- he is quite a cheery guy. Water is always brought to the table on arrival and is topped up as needed. Special home made muffins and friands are offered daily. We have never had a bad breakfast or coffee there and we like everything about this place.

Just stopped there for a muffin and a coffee, so I cannot comment on main meals. Looks good, friendly enough but I probably won't return there as my coffee was average and the muffins my friend and I had were quite dry although they did look nice. Hmmm, if it is in your local area, then give it a go, maybe we just had a one off experience.

I went to Myer to buy a JAG wallet which I had had my eye on for a while. I was happy to find it on sale and after waiting for an unacceptable time at two registers, I placed it neatly in the shoe dept and left. Anyhow, while wandering around looking for another wallet, I came across a sparky looking little shop - Brimelows. I was attended to straight away and told the girls my requirements. They fetched numerous wallets and I found one which fitted the bill. I felt well looked after but not pressured and I was really impressed with the two girls and the manager.
I will definitely return there.
