This review is for Burger Got Soul, Sandy Bay TAS

I have to give five stars across the board for burger got soul after reading a review here on womo and trying it out! I had the chicken little (snack burger) and fries, which was more than enough for an adult meal and it was just gorgeous. The staff were really friendly and helpful, even though they were crazy busy they took the time to give me recommendations of what to order based on how hungry I was! The sauces are really good (I had smokey BBQ), and the prices are excellent for the size of the meal.

This review is for The Fish Bar, Bellerive TAS

The fish and chips at the fish bar is delectable, as is the sushi and salads. The service is patchy, however, with one or two staff members being absolutely wonderful and attentive but the others being really surly and unpleasant. The prices are reasonable for the food but the ice creams from the freezer are ridiculously priced for some reason (a frosty fruit and a magnum cost $7.50!). On a nice day it's lovely to take your food down onto the beach because it can get quite crowded in the restaurant.

This review is for Dannebrog Bar And Grill, Devonport TAS

Dannebrog is probably one of the best steak restaurants I have been to, the meals are huge and reasonably priced, and the atmosphere is quite friendly. The staff are also friendly but it seems like every time we go they either give us the wrong bill or bring us food for a different table! No harm done of course but it makes things a bit confusing. They also have a challenge you can do, to eat two full 800g steaks (with fries and veg) to get your photo on the wall and your meal for free! I have yet to undertake this challenge but next time I am in Devonport I might attempt it :)

This review is for The Hub Cafe, Moonah TAS

verified email - 12 May 2013

I go to the Hub quite often because I live close by and always get a coffee if I'm shopping in Moonah, and even though the prices are a little bit high, the service is always outstanding. The man that works there (I think he's the owner?) is so incredibly nice and attentive. I have yet to eat there but the coffee is great and the food looks yummy (quiche, lasagne, salads etc.) would definitely recommend!

This review is for Bakers Delight, Rosny Park TAS

verified email - 11 May 2013

I love the food from Bakers Delight but EVERY single time I go there the staff don't ask who is next and constantly serve people out of order which is annoying from the staff and rude from the customers who know you were first but don't say anything! It's one of my biggest pet peeves, and last time it happened I very politely said "Oh actually, I'm next", the staff member just said "Oh, I'll be with you in a minute" and continued to serve someone who got there way after me! Needs to be addressed by staff and management.

This review is for Cradle Mountain Hotel, Cradle Mountain TAS

Five stars across the board for this place, the rooms are amazing, the food is outstanding and when we stayed we could sit on our balcony and watch wallabies with tiny joeys in their pouches and wombats just grazing around, magic! The breakfast was one of the best I've ever had at a hotel, and we had dinner included in our room price. I had the truffle pasta and it was so decadent! Also worth checking out is the art gallery and gift shop, as well as a walk around Dove Lake which is about a ten minute drive away.

This review is for EB Games, Rosny Park TAS

verified email - 11 May 2013

I buy all my husbands birthday and Christmas presents at EB Games, and the staff are always so helpful, and they don't treat me like a silly woman who doesn't know anything about computer games (which I don't) All I have to do is ask what the latest, best game is and they ask me what he's already got then make the decision for me based on that! And they always get it right. The prices are fairly reasonable, they also have a rewards programme, and a huge range of very reasonably priced pre owned games, which are always a gamble but so far they have all been absolutely perfect.

This review is for Leo's Coffee Lounge Restaurant, Rosny Park TAS

verified email - 11 May 2013

Where do I start with Leo's?! Firstly it always smells terrible in there, the food comes out quickly but it's really overpriced, $12 for a toasted tuna, cheese and mayo sandwich is just exorbitant, and they charge extra for multigrain bread! Come on! There is plenty of staff but they're always stressed out and kind of rude, and last time I was there the manager performed a citizens arrest on a woman who complained about her food and refused to pay part of her bill because (she claimed) she didn't receive most of it and what she did get was terrible. He called the police on her and she was forced to pay. That's just over the top, and has discouraged me from eating there again.

This review is for The Reject Shop, Moonah TAS

verified email - 11 May 2013

The Reject Shop is great in that the prices are ridiculously cheap and they have a good range of products but you get what you pay for! Some things are pretty decent but then others are just so shoddy it's unbelievable. I bought about $50 worth of picture frames to use for my wedding photos, then got them home and realized they were all weird sizes and had to cut the photos to fit, then all the hooks that hold the back of the picture frame in fell off and the photos went wonky. Also, the staff always seem bored and annoyed, and last time I was there one of them threw a tantrum in front of customers because the mop bucket she was trying to use was being difficult, she screamed "I HATE THIS BUCKET!" right in the middle of the store! I thought it was funny but other customers might not have been as easily amused as I.

This review is for Midori Japanese Kitchen, North Hobart TAS

verified email - 11 May 2013

I have been to Midori as a sit down dinner twice, and though the staff and service is fine, the second time I went it was really disappointing. I ordered exactly the same meal as my first visit (chicken katsu), but received something completely different! I did check with the server that it was in fact what I had ordered and she confirmed that it was. But it tasted totally different and wasn't that great. I do find that the take away sushi to be lovely though. I wouldn't probably go there for a sit down dinner again though. The prices are reasonable, and the decor is kitsch and cute, which I love, but it's just too inconsistent in quality.
