I went here tonight with three of my friends. To what one, a long time Brisbane resident said was the best seafood in Brisbane. He is wrong. In short - my local fish and chippery does better seafood.
With the notable exception of the chowder which was very good, I was disappointed.
The waiter was not well trained, he dropped a knife by accident down my back and didn't know the wines or the cheeses.

The food was bad.
The bugs were overcooked and had the consistency of baby food.
My friend sent his back and they returned just as bad
One of the oysters I tried had the taint of bad food
My sashimi was ok, but who serves it without wasabi?

In terms of value, given what I told you above, it wasn't worth it. Overall the meal cost us $440 with wine. For $150, I could go to the markets on Saturday, buy seafood and give you a meal that was twice as good.

Lovely coffee and friendly service. On the weekends they do lovely fresh little filled donuts that are to die for.
There's an eclectic range of seating, including a throne, that of course the kids love to sit in.

Traditional French Bistro, just like Paris, but with Australian prices ie high!
I had a lovely duck leg confit and a couple of glasses of red. Veges were cooked to perfection and the smooth mashed potato is great comfort food.
They put the aircon up, so it's the right temp to eat.

Approximate cost: $25-30

This place makes some of the best German cakes outside of the Blackforest. The bread is also fabulous, once you've tried their Bavarian sunflower bread, Tiptop won't be good enough - just get there before they are sold out. It's one of those expensive luxuries that you need.

Some of the staff speak German and there are German newspapers out the front.

Fuzzy TV picture fixed. Jeff rang me back once I rang the Jim's Antenna number and came the next day as he had promised. He looked at the system and made recommendations that made sense and then gave me a quote, which I accepted.

Great icecream, shame about the service. We went here for a gelati on a hot Mildura night. We asked whether they did a kids serve for my 6 yo and they said yes, so we ordered. Another waitress came along to help and did the serve, then they wanted to charge us the price for a larger icecream, we said no, because we'd agreed with them that we could have a kids size for less..... So what happens, they take gelati from a 6yo who was by then holding the icecream and put it in the bin! To top it off they asked whether we wanted a loyalty card! The next time we went to their competitor's place.
