Very expensive and very busy so you always have to wait a long time to be served. I've been there four times now at various times of the year and I have never once gone when they're picking fields are open. They have the most amazing strawberry meringues that I get every time I'm there. I also love their little pots of jam! When I've gone to the cafe bit they have been awesome with accommodating friends allergies. Its a bit complicated getting there if you don't know the area but a lovely area of the world to get lost in.
They have the best cheese toasties you can get! Hot chocolates come with fancy marshmallows! The baked cheese cake is also very nice however they often don't have any. Unfortunately it gets too crowded at lunch time and you end up getting quite intimate with the tables around you. Also have to fight cyclists frequently.
Fairly typical small town hairdresser. Great prices and really friendly staff. They do everything including make up. I started going here when my old hairdresser left to have a baby because my mum goes here too. Both of us are really happy and intend to continue going here.
My husband and I used Jo as our celebrant for a very unorthodox wedding. She was fantastic the whole way though. Gave us exactly the wedding we wanted and gave the impression she honestly felt privileged to be a part of our day.
Amazing atmosphere, amazing service, INCREDIBLE food!!! They have a chocolate fudge cake that not only is the size of your head but tastes so mind blowing you wont have the self control to stop eating until there is none left even though you know when you go to leave you're going to have to lay the seat back in the car to let it digest for a few minutes before you attempt driving off.
We usually only go here for coffee and perhaps a cake but its always nice. I've had one experience where the pancakes were all gooey in the middle and only cooked on the outside but they were happy to redo them. The staff are always lovely and are clearly all locals. Always a nice place to stop.
This is only a rating for the bistro because we didn't stay at the hotel. We ate dinner here on a Tuesday night and it wasn't anywhere near peak season so it wasn't busy in the slightest. It took a good half hour for our food to come out and we certainly didn't order anything that could be considered difficult to prepare. The garlic bread came out after the meal which we found very odd and after complaining it was cold all they did was take it away and stick it back in the oven on high for a couple of minutes so it came back out slightly burnt and still cold in the middle. Overall we were very disappointed. The staff were very rude. At one point after spending a few minutes being ignored by staff walking past to ask when our food was actually going to arrive I went to find someone and was essentially told shut up and wait. And the mains weren't worth waiting for at all!
We went here for dinner on our last night in WA. The food was very nice and there was a mountain of it. I would of liked a half serve and paid a bit less because my husband and I both ended up leaving food and it is very expensive for a meal in this part of the world to leave any of it behind. Overall a great pub meal. Good atmosphere. We only ate here so I don't know what the accomodation side of it is like but would reccomend the restaurant.
We booked a fishing charter expecting to go fishing... You know... That thing with a FISHING ROD! There was no sport whatsoever in their version of 'fishing'. Each person on the boat was given a glorified hand reel attached to the side of the boat and they gave you bait and you let the line down to the bottom and a minute later winched it back up with a good chance of a fish on it. If you hate fishing then this is perfect for you. If you want any kind of challenge then go somewhere else. No fun at all! All we took away from it was a qeasey feeling from five hours of deisel fumes.
Approximate cost: $200pp
We stayed here for our honeymoon. On arrival we were upgraded. Very pricey but so worth it. We would go again in a heartbeat if it wasn't so far away.
