Mercury is my favourite place to go when purchasing gifts, especially for females. They've got a variety of beautiful jewellery boxes, stands, picture frames, mirrors champagne/shot glasses but also stuffed toys, games, party ware and MUCH MUCH more. I like to purchase my birthday cards from here as they've got a $1/$2 stand out near the front and they're not tacky looking cards either. Near the counter you they've got a range of pandora beads (fake of course) but nonetheless there are some really nice and unique styles that I haven't seen elsewhere. The staff are generally friendly and don't have that overbearing customer service approach.

Since my last visit to Lashings, a lot of things have changed, however the high quality, great tasting burgers have remained! Before there was few places to sit, however since their renovation they have expanded their seating area with many more tables and chairs indoors and outdoors. They've also installed a television, which is commonly on Channel V, so you can enjoy the latest music clips while digging into your meal. They've got half a dozen different salads to choose from and offer wedges and chips to accompany your meal - both which are really tasty! Since the renovation the prices have gone up so you're paying almost $10 for a burger, but in saying this, each burger is massive and jam packet with ingredients, so its worth every cent. (Though $3 for a water is a bit steep) Would highly recommend the Moroccan Chicken Burger!

Approximate cost: $9.50

I use to purchase my coffee beans from these guys when they were open in Five Dock, and followed them over to North Strathfield because their product and service is so good! We usually stock up when we go there and purchase 3-4 bags of coffee beans and are given a discount of a few dollars. Last time I made a purchase like this my dad and I were given a complimentary coffee which was delicious! Now that they're at this location there's plenty of parking so you can actually stop to have a coffee too. The staff are really nice, as is the the interior with that authentic Italian cafe feeling. The only issue I've ever had was a burnt batch of coffee beans, however this was a one off and I did receive a further discount upon my next purchase.

This review is for Pier 26 Seafood Restaurant, Summer Hill NSW

I dont usually dine out at seafood restaurants so I cant really compare the prices or quality to others, but I was really happy with what was presented to us. The food was tasty, fresh and we didnt get sick! (I'm often quite sceptical about eating seafood out, but would happily return here)

Fantastic, authentic food and decor. Would recommend their crab dishes and vegetarian dumplings. Their prices are mid-range, but you get what you pay for quality and size wise.

This jeweller is never really busy, so you're guaranteed to get one on one assistance with a staff member. I often go in here just to browse, but last week I happily made my first purchase- A Thomas Sabo bracelet and charms. With so many different charms it was a difficult choice, but the staff's input was valuable as they assisted me in making my final decision. They've also got some gorgeous Najo pieces which I had my eye on, but I'll save that for my next trip back there!

This review is for Freshworld, Burwood NSW

I've been shopping at Freshwold for years, primarily because of their high quality, fresh produce and decent prices. Their specials are usually found at the front of the shop, with bananas and apples at number 1 for bargains. During the summer months they sell delicious boxes of mangoes at a really good price, and their seasonal cherries are absolutely amazing too! Although there's often alot of staff on, I've found them to get extremely busy during the afternoons after school and on the weekends. However, in saying this the staff are really good in processing each purchase as quickly as possible, so you're not waiting too long. Additionally, they sell bread and a range of nuts and seeds which are conveniently located near the registers.

I had heard raving reviews about this place from friends and family, so I decided to pay them a visit and try out some of their delights. Agreeingly, the Portuguese Tarts were phenomenal, though not big enough for the price you pay- Im a bit of a guts when it comes to desserts so I like to go 'all out' or not at all ;)

This review is for Pasticceria Cavallaro, Leichhardt NSW

I recently purchased a birthday cake and some biscuits from Cavallaros after discovering a pamphlet in my drawer that had been delivered a few months back. I'm glad that I did because our Tiramisu cake looked, smelt and taste absolutely delicious. It looked amazing, but elegant, just like we had imagined. Ive seem photos of previous cakes that they've made and they can create just about anything! I look forward to the next time we need a cake.

A fantastic little bakery found in Drummoyne. They sell a wide range of fresh bread and pastries, I often find it difficult to just choose one thing to purchase. Their sourdough is one of the best I've ever tasted, and I love treating myself to a Strawberry & Rhubarb every once in a while. You can enjoy a coffee or a meal here too with guaranteed fresh ingredients.
