Max did a really good job painting some ceilings, cornices and walls in our home. There was a slight misunderstanding as to the scope of the job (nobody's fault really), but he was very flexible and kind about it. We'll definitely use his services again.

The restaurant itself is very modern and nice. The service would be better if they took orders at your table instead of having to order at the counter. The pancakes are average, and the prices are over the top: $19 for one small vegan crepe? $5.00 for a little jug of real maple syrup? If the prices were more appropriate, I’d eat there often.

We walked in to a fully booked restaurant and couldn’t get a table, so were very happy to hear we could order anything from their menu as a take away. We ordered 2 soups of the day, and their rocket/pear/parmesan salad, thinking that should go pretty fast. We’d been waiting for 30 minutes, and still nothing, so I walked up to the cashier and the owner asked me what I needed. It seemed that we’d been waiting 30 minutes with nothing happening as 10 minutes later, we finally got our food. The salad was great. The soup was so-so. Tip: during high season (term holidays, long week ends), call ahead and reserve a table.

We tried the “restaurant”. It has the look and feel of a cafeteria. The view is very nice too, as the restaurant is on the 2nd floor. Please call ahead to let them know you’re coming. The staff are very friendly and helpful. There is an open fireplace in the winter to make it nice and cosy. You can either go through the cafeteria-style line that serves several dishes and desserts for $27 per person (and you can go back for seconds and thirds) or you can ask for their menu à la carte. The food is good and healthy and they are happy to cater for people with allergies. We had a delicious gluten free chocolate cake!

Delicious coffee in a very nice and cosy environment. We had gone to the Bakery first to get some coffee, and it was packed and too noisy for us. We came here instead and enjoyed a delicious coffee with an amazing flourless chocolate cake and a Gluten Free salted caramel slice, all that next to the nice wooden fireplace. A hidden gem in the back of the block!

Rooms are very nice and clean. The area is also nice. It’s on the main street in Marysville. The only drawbacks are the heating in the middle of winter: the breakfast Cafe is freezing (most people are eating with their coats and beanies). While the heating might be on in the Cafe, the door to an unheated hallway is left wide open (not an energy-saving approach). In the rooms, the heating is connected to the card reader at the entrance, so if you take your card out when you leave, you’ll return to a freezing room. The hallways aren’t heated either, so good luck going to the sauna in your bathing suite. Quite surprising for a 4-star hotel.

Delicious Burgers, delicious chips. Quantities are huge! Definitely worth a stop when you’re in the Marysville area!

We were travelling back to Melbourne from a trip to Mt Buller and stopped by to get a decaf coffee (we avoid caffeine for health reasons). We walked in, went to the bathroom first, and came out to order the coffee. We asked if they had decaf coffee and the lady behind the counter produced some instant decaf. We specified decaf coffee as an expresso. She said no. I was in fact relieved to not drink anything from that place as it was really not clean at all. The bathrooms were very dirty and run down, and the whole place desperately needs a deep clean and renovation.

Delicious coffee. Good service. Very clean facilities. They even have decaffeinated coffee, which was a nice plus.

Juan renovated our ensuite. A friend of mine recommended him. He has so many qualities: he's meticulous, loves a job well done, is very responsive (always answers texts, calls the same day), is respectful, considerate, and always asked for my opinion to make sure he was putting things where we wanted them. He cleaned up after each day of work, and always let me know when he was coming the next day. He is reliable, dependable and hard working. Definitely worth getting him to do your home renovation projects.
