During our stay at the Tanglooma island resort, my group took part in a few activities where the photographers were there to take photos. The photos were so beautiful and it was a very special occasion (My grandparents' 60th wedding anniversary) that we ended up spending about $150 on photos that these amazing photographers had taken. Who can say no to a photo of your 86 year old grandpa and 82 year old granny kicking up sand with the wheels of their quad bike, really? For the amount we paid we got A LOT of truly stunning photos. memories to last a lifetime.
Would most certainly use their services again! =)
I visited tangalooma for a holiday with a large group (40+ people) of extended family.
We enjoyed a few of the attractions such as archery, croquet, quad biking in the sand dunes, kayaking up to the wrecks and the wild dolphin feeding at night.
The staff at the resort were absolutely amazing. Always very friendly and polite, helpful and informative. Henk especially. He came to talk with us several times throughout our stay when we were hanging around the resort, and knew us by name. And we weren't the only group receiving this treatment.
We also had a function in the resort's restaurant during our stay. We were allowed in quite early to start setting up decorations and organising table place cards etc. The room was very clean and well set up, the restaurant staff were very friendly and tolerant of us having tiffs about who sits where and how bad those streamers look there ;)
The food was unfortunately a different story. We had a buffet set up. There was only steak or fish to choose between for meat, and neither were cooked particularly well. the 'Idaho Potatoes' were burnt and cold and the 'pavlovas' were a little bit stale, with the fruit on top taking up less space than a 10c piece, a tiny sliver of kiwi, a saggy slice of strawberry and a chunk of peach.
After the function was over and the older groups had left the party (it was a 60th anniversary party) some of the younger ones stayed back to have a bit of their own fun, and staff allowed us to stay until 12:30am to dance and have a couple of drinks from the bar. We were given until 11am the day after the party to take our decorations down and pack the centrepieces up etc, which I though was very reasonable.
I had such a fantastic time at this resort and I really hope to get back soon for my next holiday. Absolutely fantastic job tangalooma!!! =)
This company has cleaned the office I work in since I started there. They always clean the premises to the highest standard and are really friendly. They have a 'communication book' that allows them to leave messages for us and vice versa.
Highly recommend this company if you're looking for cleaners!!
I have been here a few times now for facials, massage and waxing. I'm a bit of a fussy wretch about massages, I like deep tissue, so Sonja's doesn't quite cut it for me, but I sent my mum here for her birthday for a 'relaxation massage' and she loved it. The price is very reasonable too!
The ladies that work here are so friendly and professional and I've never seen anything here dirty or untidy. Fabulous little spa centre :)
This restaurant is in such a beautiful location. It's one o those places where you can't decide whether to look at your beautiful, delicious meal... Or at the amazing view! Absolutely gorgeous place :) can't wait to go back!!!
Food is pretty yummy! There are several different options which is great, staff very helpful and there's usually enough parking. They have functions rooms and services there, but I haven't seen them, the rest of the rsl is quite nice though.
Approximate cost: $20
I stayed here with a few family members not long ago and though the weather was bad, the views of the beach were to die for. The beach is a short stroll away and has a little cordoned off section of sea water to swim in.
Lots of little takeaway shops and chemists/souvenir places along the little streets just walking distance from the apartments.
I stayed here with my partner and his family. The group of us ranged in ages from 50+ to 4 years old. And there was honestly something to do for everyone here. There's a HUGE outdoor beachy pool, outdoor kids pool with slides and water spouts, indoor heated pool, spa, sauna, steam room, cocktail bar, games room, cafe, restaurant, EVERYTHING! I had an absolute ball there and hope to be returning soon! =)
From my experience of Temomin, staff barely speak English. Another staff member had to translate to my masseur what I was saying. These massages are fine if you simply want your back rubbed, but I would recommend someone with university qualifications if you're trying to relieve tension in your back.
I have been camping in Jimna State Forest with my extended family every Easter since I was born. I have very very early memories of my dad and uncles taking me into this butcher to get huge quantities of eggs, bread, steak, sausages, whole chickens and a heap of other stuff for our 30+ party of campers.
I remember the big friendly man behind the counter always having a laugh with my relatives, and helping us carry all of our stuff to the car. I still camp at Jimna now with my own family. And I go to this butcher rather than to a butcher near home or the IGA just down the road from these guys, because the product is great and the service is priceless.
Love your work!
