I guess that a small shop is usually expensive, but when you are in competition with Woolworths, your quality and point of difference need to be good. I haven't found too many reasons to shop there. When I tried to buy some florists wire, they wanted to charge $35. I got it for $4 somewhere else.
I first rang in the week before Christmas with a non-urgent problem and received fast, friendly and effective service. He explained the problem so that even I could understand and fixed it promptly. I will ring again.
Approximate cost: $110
Since this is my local store, I am constantly annoyed that this has to be the only poor Bakers Delight I have ever bought from. Quite simply, compared to other branches, they skimp on ingredients. e.g. custard in buns and vegetables in pullaparts. I don't go there anymore.
This is a reasonably small supermarket in a small shopping centre and competes with 2 large nearby competitors. They don't have as big a range and the price is not much different, but the service is much quicker and the range is adequate
Two visits both extremely positive. Swift friendly service even though we had not booked and interesting food. Salads are innovative and delicious: who would have thought candied pears in a salad could be so yummy? Price reasonable and there is 2 dessert tasting plate option
Approximate cost: $60 for 2
