I've never seen a nail artist whose designs are as incrediblely detailed and funky as Clara's. Price isn't cheap but her talent and time is worth a visit. Took her an hour to do glitter gels with neon japanese diamond studs. Lasted for 2 weeks. She's done nails for celebrities like serena wiliams, lilly allen etc. I actually visited her on my holiday. She's now moved to box hill. Search her website to see her new address.

This is a service by appointment. The owner bobbi jo is a huge nail fanatic. If you want some funky nail designs like hamburgers to glitter unicorns, bobbi jo is the person for the job. Don't waste you time with normal Bali florals - get something jazzy ! Check out her facebook for her business to view all her amazing designs. She's bright and bubbly and always willing to share nail art/care tips.

Another place to find quirky gifts and stationery goods. If you have the moola to spend on luxury items, they have a range of good quality wallets to home decor/ art prints. They also have an online store if you want to browse their goods.

No idea what to get a friend who has everything? Pop into the good store and you will be stuck here for hours going through all the products. Items you won't find at the generic westfield shopping centre. Innovative and practical items imported from across the world. Why am I raving so much about this place? The owners are absolutely lovely people and whenever I can I pop in to buy items. The customer service and follow up is great. I remember buying a key chain and within a month one of the sides fell off. I went back in to buy another one but they replaced it for me instead. Highly recommend this place.

This review is for J & K Hair Salon, Victoria Park WA

J&K Hair Salon have been open since Jul 2012. I've been going to them since they opened across from my old work place. I decided to give it a go. The place has a nice interior, you can feel relaxed and ready to feel pampered. I have long thick hair and it's $40 for a wash, cut , dry and style. Very cheap compared to other places I've been. The owners are Korean and very pleasant to deal with. Their english isn't the best but understand hair and generally what kind of cut you want. If you want to be specific bring in a photo.

This review is for Restaurant Gangnam, Karawara WA

Situated next to cutin university, the place has food at student prices! A steamboat is about $36 - $40 which feeds 2 -3 people easily. This is about $20 max for dinner. They have a variety of steamboats from seafood to spam with extras like noodles to add. Comes with serving of rice and korean dishes. If you don't like steamboat there are other sizzling meat dishes or noodle dishes to choose from. The food is more for sharing than individual meals. Service is polite and friendly. These meals are perfect for the colder weather. The restaurant is usually full whenever we have went on weekends. Book a seat to avoid disappointment.

In three words to describe Buen 151 it is affordable authetic japanese. The place isn't flash but you can't expect much from casual dining. Each meal is about $10. Food is consistent and I love their ramen. They make a mean japanese potato salad too. They do the classic japanese staple dishes. They are closed Mon and Tues. Service is friendly.

This review is for Old Faithful Bar & Bbq, Perth WA

The place is specialises in american style for bbq meats and sides. Firstly, Don't go on a busy friday night! My partner and I went and waited for an hour. They are tech saavy and give you a link to see where you are in line. I believe we were 15th in line! There is a variety of alcohol beverages. We didn't touch anything that night but had a shared meat platter with a side of fried pickles. It ended up being $50 for two. Relatively cheap but for the portions its not value for money - we were full from the platter which included coleslaw, bread, beans, crackling, smoked beef and pulled pork. I suggest getting your own meal if you are absolutely starving. Or better rocking up for lunch and having a yarn with mates over a plate of meat. Service was friendly and very accommodating for the time we waited. The bar staff were considerate and got us water unprompted.

I wouldn't sugget going on a weekend night, go at a quieter time. Worth a try.

This review is for The Principal, Midland WA

I don't usually venture down to midland, we went for dinner elsewhere before and it was horrible experience ( I won't say where ) we decided to try our luck at drinks to wash out the bad taste of the food and service we had for dinner. We stumbled into the Principal bar not expectintg much. It was a lovely surprise, clean and nice alfresco area. We ventured inside, it was close to closing time but the bar staff were really nice and served us anyway. The crowd is older its a nice place to chill with some mates. No trouble makers or drunk fights. Drinks were cheap as chips. I even decided to have a cocktail - again well made not too strong and cheap. We definitely come back for some food next time and drinks. Highly recommended

This review is for Coffea Fine Espresso, Booragoon WA

verified email - 29 Aug 2014

My partner decided to try Coffea Fine espresso which is an independent cafe in the Garden City Shopping centre. First impression, it has a nice casual atmosphere with a green and wood theme decor. There were a variety of baked goods on display and looked very appetising from salted caramel tart to rocky road. I must try one of their sweets next time! My partner thought their coffee was average. Lacked flavour of the beans. We ordered our lunch, my partner had a generic eggs benedict something like that. He enjoyed it, I had this tender meat dish which was interesting but again the texture was soft but lost all flavour. It was like eating paper. The service was friendly and we had a chat with the barrister. Overall, not anything outstanding and for the price of our mains it was expensive. You could go to freo and get a well prepared meal from numerous cafes instead.
