Local batteries has been a one stop shop for me for many years now, I can get my car batteries, including all my household rechargeables. Both my father and I are into model boats and they use block 6vlt batteries, Local batteries has been teriffic in getting them for us for a very good price. I also buy my AA rechargeables in bulk and I find local batteries the cheapest and best quality for me. I highly recommend them.

Nice noodle place with a plethora of options. I've had the lasa chicken, Nasi Goring and Mongolian beef, all of which have been amazing. Average price seems to be around the $12 or just over mark. The place is quite tiny so it's more of a pick your food up and go to the beach front or home to eat. It's located on the busy restaurant strip at wellington point so getting out can be difficult at times. The waiting times appear pretty good, All in all not bad.

This was a bit of an accidental but welcome find for me. I was tasked with picking up lunch for a work colleague and whilst there I decided that the food looked good and got some myself. I chose a lunch sandwich combo for $7.50 it came with a fresh salad sandwich and a 375ml drink. I thought that wasn't too bad really, considering I sometimes buy sandwiches for over $5 at the supermarket. The sandwiches were lovely and fresh. What I firstly noticed about this place was that it's very tidy, the staff are friendly and everything looks "healthy". I would have normally not gone here as this place is amongst 3 other popular fast food places which are all very tempting. However once I tried the food I was pretty impressed and it was far healthier than choosing my normal fast food lunch which is just bad for you. I've also had the opportunity to try their coffee, I found the coffee a little bit on the average side, but on the plus side, you can get a muffin and coffee for $5.50. This is good considering I use to pay $4 for just a muffin. I think this place is a healthy alternative to what's out there and represents good value for what it is.

Approximate cost: $7.50

This review is for Ubank

Ubank is the best online saving account manager I've ever come across. Before I originally signed up, I'd spent literally months on finding the right online saver to suit my needs. Ubank ticked all the boxes for me High 4% plus savings and all I had to do was bank $200 a month. That simple. I've monitored the progress from the word go and I'm earning more bank interest than ever. Ubank is backed by the NAB bank which is one of the richest if not the richest banks going around. It's secure and easy and the sign up process for me was completely painless. It's an absolute pleasure to check balances, do transactions all at your computer. The site is encrypted well so you know your money is always safe. I've also spoken to their customer service people who are just great. The downside to earning so much interest is having to pay more tax. But believe me when I tell you that you will come out ahead even with the extra tax hit.

This review is for Cleveland Baptist Church, Cleveland QLD

This is one of the most important places I attend. It's given me strength when I've needed it. I've made new friends and now have a greater out look on life. The last couple of years has been challenging to say the least. I've had issues coping with work stress, lost close friends, lost my direction temporarily, gone through a very high risk pregnancy with my wife and just not known what to do. Then I decided one sunday "I'm the only common denominator in my issues" and I can fix it. The ministers at this church are great. They have great support groups and I find it really helps. They also have big events like Christmas Carrols which I can join in on. What if someone could help you and it cost nothing but some of your time???? I took a leap...now I feel great!!! Thankyou cleveland bapist.

This review is for surveyvillage, Epping NSW

Surveyvillage is a great survey panel with a wonderful choice of rewards that would suit most people. I've been a member for years now and in that time, I've enjoyed vouchers from the likes of Myers and EB games. The rewards typically arrived within 10 days once booked however I did have some issues with one that took nearly a month. The site manager Penny helped me with that but that was a pretty rare occurrence. You can earn quick bonuses by referring people and the real secret is just keep your profile updated. I found it a little slow to start but once you start you'll find they come. The survey invitations come via email and are very easy to follow. Some surveys are short, others can be painfully long but all in all it's quite a rewarding experience "pardon the pun"

You won't beat iinet. I've been with them for over 5 years now. In that time I've even moved house and had to transfer connection. Iinet handled that transfer beautifully and I currently pay $59.95 per month. That includes unlimited local calls, unlimited STD calls, phone line rental and the use of voip. I get 100GB download quota which is plenty. They have 24hr help desk and believe me when I tell you I've tested that by calling them at 3am in the morning. They were there and that should give anyone full confidence. Check em out, they are great!

This review is for The Lighthouse Restaurant, Cleveland QLD

verified email - 06 Oct 2013

Just had a wonderful meal at the lighthouse getting ready for grand final night of the NRL. I had nice rib fillet (350grms) with chips and it was beautiful. I did start off with a trio bread combination which was also great. You simply can't beat the view right by the water, Staff are extremely professional and they make this place a joy to eat there. It wasn't packed at all so my wife and I could just enjoy our nice quiet meal and relax. It cost us just over 80 bucks but it was well worth it.

This review is for Big Boss Barber, Wellington Point QLD

verified email - 06 Oct 2013

No appointment, busy saturday morning.....No problem for Big Boss Barber. He still fitted me in and gave me not just a good haircut but a great one. The barber styled my hair and gave me some tips on what suited me best. I discovered the wax I was using for my hair was being put in the wrong way and he gave me some hints on how to apply the wax to avoid that "greasy" look. If that wasn't enough he neated up my rogue eyebrows and finished with a nice hot towel. Felt amazing. All for $25 bucks, great value and would definitely use again.

Approximate cost: $25.00

Not a bad lunch option, it has plenty of good specials. I picked up my lunch for around $15 (steak and chips). There's plenty do see and do but the atmosphere seems very dark. I enjoy watching the sport on the provided tv's but the wait for lunch was just unforgiveable. I waited for ages to get my meal but it was nice so I can't fault them on that. The pub has a really strong Irish feel and you feel like you are really there. My issue with the pub is it has a very strong beer smell that sometimes overpowers customers. It may be due to it's lower level location, I'm not quite sure. All around though, it's a pretty decent pub with good food and lots to do. I've also been there to watch music and that's often a good night out with friends.
