Aside from the obvious great location and ambiance of this cafe, the food is tasty, creative and interesting. The staff are friendly and you feel the small town vibe. This cafe can be busy with new and regular patrons. Food service is quick. Big plus that the river and beach is within walking distance - great photo ops and beautiful cafe overall. I saw that they have some events/regular activities some nights. Food price is reasonable for a touristy town. And portions are generous.

A great hangout cafe for the health conscious, and maybe even those that are not, such as myself. The ambiance of the store is very open, hip/modern and 'green', I am not very health conscious but I still managed to enjoy the berry buckwheat and sorghum pancake. The menu can be a bit overwhelming with creatively nutritious sounding sandwiches/snacks. The prices are a little bit on par with other gourmet sandwiches/healthy snacks - with an average of about $15 for these. One negative about the venue, is that it is located right smack in the middle of a busy intersection. The cafe would then be deemed not suitable for patrons with young and active kids.

They have a great range of home ware items - candles, soaps, small furniture, etc. Every time I visit the shop the staff are ready to help and are friendly. The shop space is a little small for the amount of items in it. I witnessed one time a person bumped into a fragile item that smashed onto the floor. Could have happened to anyone. Nonetheless still an okay place to shop for presents or knick knacks.

I like the outdoor layout of this aquatic centre. We have only ever used their pools and not the gyms though. The size of the pools are adequate and the venue is quite spacious. At summer time the children's pool have apt coverage (from the sun) - one small wadding pool is outdoor with a canopy - one decent sized kiddy pool is indoor with one side open layout (can be blocked out during winter so kids don't get cold). The indoor kiddy pool has controlled temperature year round so it feels humid inside - which is good, I think. Entrance fee is very reasonable. The facilities are clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly. There is also a mini cafe located within the centre - they sell hot chips and slush! They do sell potato chip packets, chocolate, ice cream too. Overall a good environment for a sunny day out.

It is somewhat a hit and miss for me and Lok Lok. I do have a favourite - their eggplant dish as well as their steamed pork bun. However with the soups, I cannot seem to find one which is just the right taste. Usually the soups are quite bland for me. Otherwise, the servings are good sized and the service of the staff is efficient.

By far the best sushi takeaway in Castle Towers. Their inaris are the best. I always order their crab inari for myself and my daughter has a plain inari. In itself it is already tasty. Having said that, I have tried their sushi boxes as well and it is consistently tasty. The serving size is good and filling - perfect for that after school snack. The service is quick and efficient (even when there is a long queue!). Big thumbs up for me. They have recently added a new sushi donut (sushi shaped in a donut) which I have yet to try. But I am guessing that will not leave me disappointed.

I just love this Indian takeaway at the food court of Castle Towers. I particularly like ordering Butter Chicken with Cheese naan. The lady here knows that I like more sauce with my order. And she is quite friendly as well. This is my to go butter chicken fix for those days when I want my sweet Indian food. The serving size is good, taste is just right for my palate, and it is good value for my $.

The menu is limited, however for the price it is good value Japanese food. The taste is nothing out of the ordinary - just easy, Japanese quick food. The portions are average, and the staff are friendly.

I have visited the store to purchase a ready made frozen chocolate cake and found the store to be a one stop shop for a party. They have a good range of party goods and supplies. There is parking readily available, and the staff are quite helpful too while I was browsing the shop. Prior to visiting the store though, I rang the shop to ask about the items they had (I had no idea how big the shop was and how the shop was set up) so I asked a few questions and the lady on the phone made me feel a bit rushed and was quite impatient. It could have very well been bad timing, but I can still remember how unwelcome my questions were. Nonetheless, I would still use them again, and I would still purchase their chocolate cake next time.

I used to like buying the Pork Floss bun among other bakery items. However there was one time after buying and eating their Chocolate Horn, my daughter had a tummy ache from eating the Chocolate Horn. I offered to take the last few bites from this item, and found out it's because the chocolate ganache is off. My young daughter did not realise it was already sour and kept eating it (because I told her to) so as not to disappoint me. It may have been a one off as we used to buy other items from the bakery and it was ok. However, I have not set foot back into this bakery since the previous incident. Maybe one day again, when I have forgotten what has happened.
