This review is for Malanda Theatre Company, Malanda QLD

Attending a show at Malanda Theatre is an opportunity for amazing entertainment just a few times each year.

Live theatre by amateurs (but you often wouldn't know it - what talent abounds).

Also children's theatre - nurturing the up-and-coming stars.

I highly recommend either becoming involved with, or attending a show at Malanda Theatre.

This review is for That Retro Cafe, Yungaburra QLD

that retro cafe is a favourite I'll always go back to when I'm in town.

It is unique to the area, and offers local tea, local coffee, local milk and locally made food.

The decor is fantastic - something for everyone. There's books and drawing for the kids. Very family-friendly.

Approximate cost: $10

This review is for Pier Bar, Cairns QLD

We went to see some live music on a Sunday afternoon. Drinks were 2 for 1. It was loud and busy, but not overwhelming.

Drinks were cold. Plenty of bar and table staff.

Music was fantastic.

We'll go again!

This review is for Salt House, Cairns QLD

Went here for a few drinks and to hear some live music on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere was suburb. Drinks were not too expensive.

Toilets were a little dark, and there was water splashed about.

Meals others were eating looked good.

Overall, a great place we will return to.

This review is for Pacific International Hotel, Cairns QLD

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel. A standard room is just what you'd expect. Everything is there to ensure comfort. Bed is huge, can open glass doors for fresh air, air conditioning is cold, ensuite is excellent with a bathtub.

Very clean, polite staff, no problems at all.

Approximate cost: $160

This review is for Sukin Organics, Tullamarine VIC

verified email - 10 Nov 2012

Sukin offer a huge variety of skin care and personal care product. They are Australian, organic, available in large sizes, available at my local pharmacy and overall tick so many boxes for our family - we prefer to shop as ethically as possible.
All of the ingredients are listed very clearly on the (minimal) packaging of each product. There is additional information on their website.
I recommend you look out for Sukin and give them a try. They're stocked in a large number of stores now - stockists are listed on their website also.

This review is for MooGoo Skin Care, Tweed Heads South NSW

I first tried Moo Goo shampoo and conditioner. I was so impressed that I bought some of their skin care when it became available locally.
My first order was online, on their website, but now my local pharmacy stocks almost all of their products.
Great for dandruff, dry skin, acne and all sorts of conditions - yet so gentle at the same time! I highly recommend others with skin problems try Moo Goo. It's inexpensive, and it works.

This review is for Gallo Dairyland, Atherton QLD

verified email - 10 Nov 2012

Gallo Dairyland has a huge cafe and shop area, with tours showing information about the dairy industry and sometimes a viewing window into the cheesemaking area.
There is also a baby animal nursery, and you can see the cows milked at the dairy every afternoon.
The facility is large, clean and has ample parking.
The cheese, chocolate, ice-creams and drinks are all lovely and the food prep area is clean and staff well-presented.
Prices were a little higher than I expected.
The smell from the dairy is sometimes off-putting, but it isn't always present.
Overall, I recommend that visitors and locals stop here to taste their wares and check it out!

This review is for Mungalli Creek Dairy, Millaa Millaa QLD

verified email - 10 Nov 2012

Mungalli Creek Dairy offers tours of an operational biodynamic milk, cheese and yoghurt producing facility. They also have a small cafe and shop area.
Tastings are on offer of their various award-winning products.
The dairy is a bit out of the way - it's off the highway outside Millaa Millaa - toward Innisfail, but it's well worth the trip to taste these naturally-produced dairy products, and the views are stunning!

This review is for Malanda Dairy Centre, Malanda QLD

verified email - 10 Nov 2012

Malanda Dairy Centre is a cafe/restaurant with the added bonus of a museum and tourist information areas.
It is located centrally in Malanda, right next to the milk factory on the main road with plenty of parking out the back.
The meals and snacks are a delight, with a wide variety of drinks to compliment. There are meals suitable for children, and vegetarian options.
Service is good and the cafe and amenities are always clean.
