Great Yum Cha with all the favourites.
Really enjoyed the
Pork Bun
Dim Sum
Prawn Dumpling
there
Never a problem for refils of water or tea either.
Nice and clean and the prices were quite reasonable.
Approximate cost: $25
OK, so who hasn't been to a Dick Smith store? Very few.
Here's what I found at the North Sydney store.
Helpful staff
Nice layout
Clean shop
All of these are pretty good, but here's the kicker.
The guy I dealt with actually negotiated on price with me! This has never happened before and makes me want to go back.
Approximate cost: $50
Love Pauls burgers, they simply are the best burgers in the shire.
Order your real burgers as you like them.
Add your chips.
Get out, eat somewhere else.
As I've said before, parking is a problem here. But the food is worth the trip.
Approximate cost: $15
It is McDonald's and there isn't much that can be said about the food.
However if you want to get out of the Southgate Shopping centre to let your kids have a bit of a play, McDonald's Sylvania is about the only place to do so.
Great for having breakfast and reading the newspaper while your car is in for a service at the KTAS there.
Approximate cost: $10
Usually I'm disappointed with the "value" of the coupons on the back of my recipts.
When Shop-A-Dockets first came in, it was "WOW, you can spend money and then save more!". But now days you can find the same prices or even better simply by signing up for loyalty cards.
I especially miss the Doughnut & Dry Cleaning coupons.
That said there are often some good deals, so that's what keeps me looking.
Preddys are the only people I use to update my locks in the shire. Every time I've needed to move home or get my locks re-keyed, these guys are the only people I call.
Always on time
Always good workmanship
No complaints at all.
Approximate cost: $150
Good service
Good prices
Good meats
Fantastic smallgoods!
We go here to stock up on their Frankfurts. They are the real thing and you'll never want to eat anything else after having tasted them.
Approximate cost: $15
A great little asian bakery. Lots of stuff that has been copied from Japan, even with Japanese names.
Everything we had was fresh and delicious. Between us we had five different bread types, two orange juices & two coffees and it came to $23.
A great value and healthful lunch for the family. This place will be part of our regular visits to Hurstville.
Approximate cost: $2
Recently went to Sizzler for the first time in years and it was better than expected.
Salad bar that was varied, fresh and tasty? Check!
Pasta & Potato Skins quickly re-filled & hot? Check!
Dessert bar with all the things kids need for their sugar fix? Check!
We enjoyed our food, it was all quite good value.
My only gripes are
Drink bar was a bit expensive, $4.95 for self service? Really
The floor at the drink bar was sticky, even though we were first in the door for dinner.
Sizzler was a great, Kid-friendly dinner experience and we will be back again!
Approximate cost: $30.00
Having recently started working in North Sydney, I needed to find a place that served a decent Mocha. After trying a half dozen cafes I discovered Soul Origin Greenwood Plaza and stopped searching.
Their food looks good, but I am only there for the take-away coffee on my way to work. Located in the middle of the plaza makes it really easy to get my coffee fix before work.
And the loyalty card is quite good value also.
Approximate cost: $4.50
