Very honest mechanic that won't overcharge you, is female friendly and won't tell you things need fixing if they don't. If you're after a second opinion these are the guys to go to.
This lady cleaned my house when my regular cleaner was away and she did a terrific job, so good in fact that she has now become my regular cleaner. She is very thorough and doesn't waste time like some cleaners do. She is punctual, which is important to me because I don't have time to wait around all day. I definitely recommend this cleaning service to anyone in need of a good, reliable, honest, hard working cleaner.

I recently took my son to Express Cuts based on the reviews other people had posted and I just wanted to say that this business definitely deserves 5 Stars.
The prices are very competitive (I paid $20 for my son's style cut), the staff are very friendly and the lady who cut my son's hair really knew what she was doing. She gave us some great advice on the best way to style my son's hair and the end result was fantastic. My son is very fussy about how he has his hair cut but he was very pleased with his new look.
Also, we didn't need to make an appointment and they were able to cut my son's hair right away, so we didn't even need to wait! I'll be going back there for sure!
Central Mowing is a one-man operation. I have used his services quite a few times in the past simply because he does an OK job for cheap. I say he does an ok job because he does the job very quickly and most of the time there are small patches of uncut grass, but he charges much less than all the others around so for a while I was willing to put up with it. You get what you pay for I guess.
I stopped using his services however when he started bringing his little dog with him everytime he came, letting her run around in my garden, doing her business in my vegetable patch and barking non-stop at the front door when she knew our cat was inside. He doesn't control his dog at all and one time he said nothing when she ran into my house while he was holding me up chatting. That was the last time I used his services.

I've been getting my cats' and dog's Advantage flea treatment from the Vet Shed for a couple of years now because it's so much cheaper than buying it from a Vet's surgery or normal pet shop. For example for a 4pk of Advantage for my cats it costs me around $38 and for my dog who is over 25kg, the 4 pk costs less than $45. They cost at least $15 more each at the Vet and local pet shop.
Shipping is quite fast too, less than a week usually, but sometimes they're out of stock and it can take a few more days, but they let you know if that's going to happen. So don't leave it til a couple of days before your pets are due for their treatment. Because of the occasional delays in the shipping I only gave 4 stars for Service.
I mostly go to this store to buy the $2 sport socks they sell (they're kept near the front counter), they're very good quality and very comfortable to wear.
I also buy a few other bits and pieces there and even though it's just a $2 shop, I've never had a problem with anything I've bought there in terms of quality. Everything I've bought there has always worked well... from pet stuff, to gardening stuff, to cooking utensils, socks, hair accessories, craft stuff... everything.
The store owners are friendly with a cheeky sense of humour.

I started going to this cafe with one of my clients and I liked it so much that I go in on my own or with my daughter if we happen to be walking past.
I really like the coffees and jelly cheesecake they sell. The servings are quite generous too. My daughter usually has an iced chocolate and lamington and she says they're both very nice.
For a drink and a cake you're looking at around $8, which in my opinion is quite reasonable.
The service is always great and fast and the premises are very clean. There's nothing more annoying when you want to sit down and you can't find a clean table, but I've never had that problem at Baker Boys.
Baker Boys is a Rosebud institution so if you're ever walking past, do yourself a favour and stop for a coffee and cake, you'll be glad you did.
After-Care is a home-care service and I have used their services in the past to help me clean a rental home I was vacating. They were recommended to me by a friend whose mother uses their services quite regularly as part of a subsidised aged-care package.
The lady who came around to do the cleaning was very professional and did a very good job of cleaning, but I have to say at this stage that the cleaners are actually qualified personal care assistants, not qualified or trained cleaners. So there are jobs that they won't do, but for your everyday, normal house cleaning stuff, they are quite capable and competent. They charge about $50/hour, which is pretty comparable to other cleaning services in the area. All their cleaners/carers also have police record checks.
I have no problem recommending them to anyone needing a cleaner.

These guys make decent pizzas and they've never botched up my orders, which is something many other pizza joints just can't seem to master.
The staff is wonderfully friendly and cheerful and the prices are pretty comparable to other take away pizza restaurants in the area. For two large pizzas we usually pay around $28 but that will vary depending on what kind of pizzas you get. We usually get a meatlovers and on the other one we get mushrooms, onions, capsicum and ham.
They do home deliveries for an extra few bucks (not sure exactly how much) in the local area but because we don't live within the delivery area I pick ours up and the pizzas are always ready when I get there. I don't mind driving 6kms to pick them up because I get such good service there and the yummy pizzas are good value for my bucks.
I've been taking my cats and dog to Peninsula Vet Care for many years now and I've always been very happy with the care and treatment shown towards my pets, everything from normal check-ups, neutering, microchipping, abscesses, allergies and bladder infections to more complicated stuff like Quarantine requirement when taking my pets overseas and my dog's knee reconstruction surgery.
The vets and their nursing staff are very knowledgeable and always explain everything very clearly. They are a very caring and dedicated team and have a great rapport with animals - my dog always gets very excited when he gets out of the car in their car park because he knows he's going to get lots of cuddles and a treat from his friends there.
They have surgeries in Rye, Rosebud, Dromana and Mornington too and all of them have do-it-yourself hydrobaths, weight loss clinics run by the nurses, puppy training schools also run by the nurses and all except the mornington clinic run a cat adoption centre.
I recommend Peninsula Vet Care for any pet owner looking for great vet care.
