This review is for Leo's Spaghetti Bar, St Kilda VIC

I guess we are spoilt by the large serving sizes and abundant seafood at Sofia's, Camberwell.. this was nice, different (we eat at Sofias at least fortnightly and often more) open late, had a lovely waitress, but the lasagne was not very rich and the seafood chicken had a few scattered small prawns in a basic mornay sauce... but the coffee was quite ok. Similar prices. Home done renovations.. at the least the old Leo's had that authentic worst of the 70's Hiltonesque appeal...

This review is for Volcano Joes, Burwood VIC

verified email - 16 Jan 2011

Kids love it due to being able to indulge in far too many bowls of icecream and desert. Food is pretty average but you can get some interesting dishes. Roasts and salmon ok, salads not very fresh, service surly. Will come back when the chorus of "we want volcano joes" gets too loud. Plan on bringing my son and friends when they are teenagers and reading computer mags in the car!

Love that the place is open 24 7
Where would our birthdays be without Chapellis!!

Bit noisy, but great place to come to after Borders or after working. Good coffee and great cakes, kids love the place!!

This review is for Brighton Savoy, Brighton VIC

As a guest at a family wedding at Brighton Savoy recently we were very impressed with the ambience and service. The manager was attentive and resolved a seating problem tactfully and the food delicious. The view is quite gorgeous and Brighton Savoy plays this up with the way the room is set up. Thanks very much for a great night. Cheers!

This review is for Paint Spot, Windsor VIC

The Paint Spot have been our first choice for paints in four renovations and shop fits. We used the Paint Spot in Brunswick 10 years ago, and were very pleased that they took the time to mix up one off colours specially and made paint chips to take away. (We were trying to get very deep purple paint and crimson paint as spot colours). Now our local Paint Spot is in Windsor, and they have been very helpful. They have premixed paint even though we have paid with cheques rather than card, they have got paint and accessories and small equipment ready for our tradies in 10 minutes when called before they turned up, they have had really good cheap bulk interior paint in 20L tins and even better, they swapped paint back when there was a mix up with the order. We couldn't recommend the Paint Spot in Windsor highly enough!!

busy, crowded but very useful store, sells a large range of useful accessories and fasteners as well as fabric. Very useful craft things and projects, our kids love the place and its hard to get them out of there. Often you can get stuff cheaper elsewhere, but its handy and has a very comprehensive range

This review is for The Video Foundry, Melton VIC

verified email - 05 Aug 2009

Rob at The Video Foundry does very competent, skilled work, as you would expect after 29 years! His work for us is no exception. He is always prepared to go that extra mile, and revise things if needed. The Video Foundry has quite a range of services, and we have often recommended him for weddings or short corporate jobs as he will work on an hourly or half day basis. The wedding videos from The Video Foundry we have seen have been really lovely, romantic and personal, just the sort of thing you would like for yourself.
The video promo that The Video Foundry did for our business was exceptional and well crafted, and we had a huge response to it. The promo was very well edited, and totally hit the spot. Rob isn't just a man with a camera but was able to direct and script our little production really well. His technical knowledge is impressive, not surprising given that he has done a lot of work for TV over the years, we have enjoyed looking at some of his motorsport documentaries. We would very much recommend him for a good quality reasonably priced videos, and particularly for caring for a customers specific requirements.

So much better than JB or Dick Smith, worth the drive. Has almost everything I need. The staff are quite knowledgeable and friendly, and the website is very helpful.. someone has thought through the categories of client and their needs so its easy to get around, just like the store.
