I got referred to Mike, who is the cheery barber at this salon by two trusted brothers in Jesus. I'm happy I followed their word-of-mouth, even though my haircut cost double what I'd normally pay. I take it as a sign of my healing from a past clouded with worthlessness & shame that i can now spend more on myself because I'm finally coming to accept the true worth of who I am in my DaddyGod's sight :D .. I'm sure anyone getting their haircut by Mike at total bliss hair design, will be in for a cheery conversation & a good haircut! =)

had a good brother stay overnight & my housemate frequents this cafe very nearby, so we decided to join him :) looking through the menu, I decided to be adventurous & try a Peruvian corn flour dough thing with meat, wrapped in banana leaf (i think it was 'toleme') [?] for $12.9 ... my friend had the eggs benedict. though it wasn't very substantial, mine proved to be adequately filling! :) the decor was simple, funky as expected from cafes, with indoor/outdoor seating on tables, the staff were all very friendly. there seemed to be a good buzz in the cafe on the Sunday morning with plenty of customers, which is only a good sign :)
I would be happy to introduce friends here -- I had a milkshake with a friend another time before. definitely worth checking out if you're ever in the area! :)

i was catching up with a good friend & in search of a cafe on a cold winters' day for a hot chocolate, i only do dark hot chocolate [i'm a bit of a chocolate racist that way :P], walking around the neighbourhood, we came upon this cafe lounge & both ordered hot chocolates, mine a hot dark chocolate & my friends' a hot milk chocolate, and for the it was only $7.50! i was expecting at least $8, so the price pleasantly surprised me. the setting was lovely with nice decor, we stayed until closing time on a Sunday & thoroughly enjoyed the kind, friendly staff! .. not sure how much main courses were as we were only looking for hot chocolates :)

this must be one of my favorite local eateries when i'm back in Brisbane! took 2 friends there & they loved it! very good prices, generous portions of yummy food with cheerful, happy service from Grace & Sam! if you're ever i n the area, be sure to check it out! or even if you're passing through, it's definitely worth dropping in & sampling their delights!
Although they're Koreans, i gotta say they do a very impressive chicken cashew nut & massaman curry!! [normally thai dishes that were as good, if not better than the same dishes i've tried at other Thai restaurants!]

WOW! El Shaddai is definitely my newest favourite local eatery - it has the PERFECT COMBO of offering HEALTHY, YUMMY *AND* CHEAP food! i sampled their roasted vegetables & couscous salad with tabouli & kofta. the serving size was very generous for the price. i was so happy! they also offer a great selection of frozen meas (gourmet beef/chicken lasagne, macaroni, stroganoff, plus lamb shanks & gourmet beef meatballs, which i very much look forward to tasting!)
i never imagined gourmet foods could come at such a bargain price! the 1st lunch i had of a small serving of 2 salads combined + kofta was only $6, then i returned a few days later for another small serving of 2 salads combined for just $2.50. very nice & healthy salad dressing of olive oil lemon juice & garlic...happy stomach, happy body AND happy wallet! this place is an absolute winner! they do catering, taking large orders too :)

found this nice, quiet place to eat on a noisy, busy road & went into a spacious, well decor'ed restaurant - on a Tuesday night @ 6pm there were only ~8 other customers aside from me. all the better for me to enjoy peace & quiet =) i ordered the lemongrass beef vermicelli salad for $10.50, slowly savoring every bite of it, and went away feeling healthy, satisfied and with a happy wallet too! I look forward to my next dining experience on their extensive menu =)

had lunch here upon a friends' recommendation - i had a turkey toasted sandwich on sourdough with avocado - only $7! my friends had the soup of the day [pumpkin] + chocolate milkshake , the owner [Theresa] apologised that there wasn't much of the pumpkin soup so gave us 4 mini muffins as compensation ;) mine was very yummy, we all enjoyed what we had :D service was great & quick, ... what more could you ask for? i'd only recommend you sit inside to eat/drink as there was alot of traffic outside, so unless eating/drinking in pollution is your idea of healthiness, stay inside!

upon a friends recommendation i went here - we both had the thai chicken rolls - ONLY $5!!! -- AND THEY WERE HUGE!! PACKED FULL of yummy goodness ...and they also sell macarons for $0.80, so our good lunch + dessert was only $11.60!! will definitely try again whenever i'm in the area!

just moved into the area recently & discovered Kin D conveniently located just around the corner from Kirrawee train station - have been there 3 times now & haven't been disappointed, ordered the thai beef salad, the thai soup with chicken, mushroom & coconut milk [$6.90!!], a lunchtime special [only $7.90!!!] of thai marinated chicken skewers with vege & coconut rice. all dishes were typically delicious, with the burst of flavors & spices you'd expect of the Thai cuisine. food came out quickly, & service is always good & friendly. :D

i've been going here the past few years - their service & value for money keeps me going back :) initially, it was their ad for 2 glasses for $99 that drew me in - and they've proved reliable & trustworthy in providing me quality frame + lense packages that wont burn a massive hole in my bank account ;) ... and any problems with anything they've sold me was quickly & easily solved by just taking it back in store, no hassles, no fuss, just great service every time! I've also done a few yearly eye checks with them - their optometrists are professional, very friendly, and walked me through everything they were doing, which was quite reassuring :) I'd recommend them to anyone needing good quality glasses at a good price! tip: always ask if they could do you a special deal for a second set of frames + lenses. i forgot to last time & kinda regret not doing so :P
