I give it 4 stars purely for the flavour - I had the super choc fudge brownie [with pecans & walnuts, it had to be a winner, and it sure was!] otherwise the place, service & pricing is like any other ice cream bar. if i return, I'll probably get the scoop in a cup rather than a cone - it melted too fast on the warm day than I could lick it, delicious as it was! main reason I'd ever go back is just to sample more of their unique flavours

with a group of friends on the search for a better dinner option after Brazilian BBQ wouldn't let us sit together whilst some had their all-you-can-eat & others order from the normal bar, we came across Cyren. staff were quite friendly & very well organised, with the place set on the harbour with good city views. I ordered the free range stuffed chicken breast for $29 [!] WAY OVER-PRICED in my books, with a few scrawny vege slapped here 'n there. :'( VERY poor value for money, unless you want pizza for under $20

out with some friends for the holidays this was suggested as a dinner venue - it had stunning views of the ocean, but I was told I may be pressured into joining as a member since I [kinda] live locally - I thought that was pretty stupid & wasn't going to bother with that! I ordered the lamb salad for $24.50 which was the most I've ever paid for a salad - though thy did give me enough for two servings as i took a large takeaway box home! atmosphere inside wasn't that great purely because the live performer was SUPER-LOUD! ... I was pretty happy to get out of there when we did. I doubt I'll go out of my way to return, unless fir some weird reason I'm desperate for an awesome view with my overpriced meal!

seriously, with a name like "number one Thai" and after reading all the rave reviews, how could any Thai food lover resist? I've been here a few times before, he 1st time my good friend shouted me, then next 2 times I shouted. the value-for-money is very high here! I had the good ol' beef massaman curry, and really you cant go wrong with just about any of the very well-priced meals here. service is one of the speediest I've experienced for a Thai restaurant, with a simple, light decor :)

seeing of my ex room-mate at the airport for one last meal together, and looking for a decently healthy as well as decently healthy meal, I came across sumo salad.. I've always thought it was oddly named enough to be worth a try! ;) for $11.95 I got a small size Moroccan Za'ata lamb salad on kale, quinoa & brown rice - definitely yummy enough to go back & try their other menu options! the service was friendly & fast, my stomach was happy as well as my bank balance ;) seating in food court may be difficult at times, but there's always a spare seat or two if you look hard enough :)

just went here to pickup my regular meds & found this small local pharmacy to be most personal, friendly, cheerful & helpful, which is everything you want & need when dealing with medications. I was served by the beautiful Karen & very impressed by all the character qualities above - will definitely make this my regular pharmacy from now on ... now to find a good excuse to frequent it more than my prescription needs ;) ... aother nice feature is they allow payment by paypass, which is good so i can get 2% cash back on my ING orange everyday visa :)

had to grab a quick bite to eat for lunch, but wanted something semi-healthy & cheapish, i saw the signs advertising their portuguese chicken wrap ... they only accept cash so i ducked down to the local Aus. post at the newsagency opposite the railway station to get cashout for free using their EFTPOS machine ;) It didn't take long for her to get it all done, and i was out of there in a few minutes! looked like they had some interesting salads too but I couldn't see prices for them advertised anywhere - oh well, just gong to not be shy next time & ask her ;) might well be back again next time i'm in a rush for a decently healthy & decently priced feed!

met with my friend who loves his steak, we sat outside but were well attended to by the friendly staff. we ordered a Caprese salad ($12), the the Scotch fillet steak ($32.50), I the 400g T-bone ($36!) ... he was disappointed at the lack of flavour in his steak, and i was quite put off at the greasy fattiness of my T-bone steak ... apparently most of their steaks are quite fatty (marbled) except the eye fillet steak which is their most popular dish. total for 2 of us = $80.50. verdict: disappointing taste. super poor value for money!! won't bother returning :[ so unless an overly-greasy taste is your idea of a yummy steak, you'd be better off elsewhere :(

went to this very trendy, hip looking place for lunch with 4 other friends - i tried the "GAMBERI E SPINACI" = Prawns, homemade basil pesto, cream + Parmesan tossed with fresh spinach. while i enjoyed it & the portion was very generous in a funky arty bowl, i was very unimpressed with the 2 or max 3 prawns they threw in. definitely felt like poor value for money. but i enjoyed the decor, atmosphere, pots of fresh basil, with bottles of olive oil & balsamic vinegar that went on every table ;)

went for my 2nd $8.90 lunch special yesterday - tried their green curry with squid. my friend ordered the ginger & shallot with chicken stir fry, but was disappointed at the complete lack of ginger or shallots! ... he took it back & they kindly redid his dish for him ... but again, either the ginger & shallots was invisible or ... ?! you definitely get what you pay for .. but the service was super fast!
