This review is for Chinese Noodle Restaurant, Haymarket NSW

My Chinese uncle introduced me to this place years ago and I have been going there with friends and family for years now. If you want a long, relaxing dinner experience, this isn't the place but if you want an authentic, intimate 'hole in the wall' experience with exceptional food, this is for you! We had 2 main dishes and dumplings for $35. BYO too. Make you read the sign outside carefully because another noodle restaurant with almost the same name is two stores down. I recommend the dumplings, eggplant, noodles and French beans.

Approximate cost: $10

Everything about this place is stitched up and amazing. Fabulous cocktails in the bar, great service (helpful in choosing a variety of dishes that complemented one another), and of course yummy. Essentially they serve premium Chinese style dishes. About half of the dishes are described as spicy but they're not excessively so. We loved our prawn wontons, quail and eggplant entrees. The spanner crab main was AMAZING, light but satisfying. The grass fed wagu was excellent and perfectly cooked.
Great atmosphere. On the pricey side but considering the overall experience we were more than happy to pay it.
Great dining experience - we will definitely be back!

This review is for Sailors Thai, The Rocks NSW

This is a hidden gem of a restaurant above the Sailors Thai. Just a beautiful authentic Thai meal. The Canteen is a large room with a long table down the middle. Every item on the menu is authentic and worth trying at least once. I had the best Pad Thai at Sailor's Thai that I have ever had. pork belly stir fry and the duck curry (almost more duck than we could eat). The food is Thai based but has some very modern elements. You will enjoy dining here. We will definitely be going back very soon .

This review is for Kiwajib Korean Restaurant, Strathfield NSW

We chose this restaurant after seeing if full of Koreans at lunchtime. We had early dinner just as the afternoon crowd were leaving but by the time we left the place was full and buzzing with young Korean couples and families. My favourites are the spicy beef rib soup and the spicy pork hangover soup. The soups are thick and spicy. Service is always very prompt and friendly. All in all, we came out very full and very satisfied.
Different, special and recommended experience.

I had read the reviews and was looking forward to it very much. It is on the 2nd Floor of the historic Strand Arcade, you take the old lift near the entrance of the arcade. This restaurant is all class; great service from people who know what they're talking about, simply stunning food with incredible ingredients beautifully presented in stylish surrounds. The ravioli is my favourite however there was nothing ordinary about the fresh oysters, melt in your mouth tuna carpaccio salad, tender 10 hour cooked blade steak, or the sweet and not too rich semifreddo dessert I ordered. This is a must go to.

This review is for Nakashima Japanese Restaurant, The Rocks NSW

verified email - 15 Sep 2013

While service can sometimes be a little slow, the quality of the food is so good it just doesn't matter. In fact, it turned me into a Japanese food convert. Unagi Sushi, Pork Maki, Tempura, Salmon sashimi are things you should try when here. A hidden gem but by no means a secret, Nakashima is great value and the food is simply delicious. Make sure you book! It's not a huge place, and its very popular.

Awesome food. Awesome service. Great location. Close to the University and R P A. Very good value. Can't say enough about the quality and service. Awesome for breakfast and lunch and dinner. The sourdough toast is fantastic!
The fritters were delicious and the baked beans were not canned but freshly made, a nice touch!
It has a lovely atmosphere, sitting on the verandah on a lazy Saturday morning. And to top it all off, the coffee was excellent. Will definitely eat here again!

This review is for Devonshire Thai, Surry Hills NSW

This was the third time we've dined at The Devonshire, and each visit has been excellent. The restaurant is small and intimate, with great lighting and high spec fittings. The variety of dishes is broad, and includes calamari, pork, lamb, and a delicious chocolate dessert. I had 2 entrees and some veggies and was quite full by the end of the meal. Our server was fantastic and went out of his way to make recommendations and explain the menu. Overall a strong recommendation.

This review is for Felix, Sydney NSW

We tried Felix on the recommendation of a friend from Sydney. We visited on an evening early in the week and without a reservations. Luckily there was a table free so we were seated immediately. Gruyere souffle and duck confit cassolette were really amazing. they all had a perfect mix of efficiency, courtesy and politeness without also crossing the boundary into being too familiar or too chatty. they were all dressed very stylishly in french bistro, and the whole setting could have been that of a film set - it was styled beautifully. we'll certainly be going back.
