I have a degenerative back condition with 5 spinal fractures, unable to work, a loss of 7cm in height due to spinal compression, and a poor prognosis. I live with chronic pain, but my biggest and most panful challenge has been getting into, out of, and spending time in, a bed.
Rick at Beds for Backs, Nunawading took so much time evaluating me getting onto, off beds, my sleeping position and all relevant background before suggesting my best possible sleep solution.
His recommendation of a Ergo Electric CB750 electric adjustable base by Frowein matched with a Surreal latex mattress has been a success.
All aspects of sleeping have improved. I sleep better, with less pain, can remain in bed longer, and am getting in and out of bed more easily. The latex mattress has proved perfect. Firm yet springy when needed.
Most importantly, if I suffer further fractures which is highly likely, the electric raise functions will allow me to sit as well as sleep, and make it much easier to get in and out of bed. Have used for two moves-Richmond to Glen Waverley; Glen Waverley to Ringwood. They are brilliant. Reliable and phone updates if estimated time of arrival needs to change through unexpected circumstances. All the lads have been super hard workers preferring muscle power rather than trollies as gets the job done faster. Travel times are reasonable as are charges. Nothing phases them. We hit them with multiple flights of stairs, small spaces, super heavy concrete garden planters. No complaints. Reliable. All you could want in a removalist.

Paul was quick to respond to my need to store medicine in malfunctioning Fisher & Paykel fridge. Very thorough service. No call out fee, and very reasonable charge. Not only successfully repaired, but gave excellent advise to ensure best ongoing performance. You won't do better if you need a fridge fixed.

Weronika is a Myotherapist & remedial massage therapist who had been recommended. Parking was easy at the door. Welcoming professional yet homely room. Weronika took a comprehensive history, evaluated my posture, & checked out my injury.
Treatment was exceptional. The massage table was comfortable and the electric blanket made it so cosy (it was a cold day). Fresh, quality towels.
Great massage techniques. Hot stones melted my back pain away. Weronika targeted my sore spots with traditional flame cupping which I love. she also used dry needling for my troublesome calf, and did great work on my sore Achilles tendon.
The 90 minutes went past fast (I think I slept for part). Felt amazing after. Weronika sent follow up text the next day and I was able to report feeling much better, and could exercise now without he previous pain.
I recommend Weronika for any massage from relaxation to remedial of use her Myotherapy skills and techniques for injuries. I will return...soon!

Wow! Sonoko's massage was really different and really good. Such a friendly welcome at the door and then the room was professional, comfortable, but not fussy. Quick but thorough medical history and assessment and then the massage. Sonoko put steam heat packs on me which softened my muscles like never before, and used hot steam towels as she finished each body area. Her experienced hands found all my tight and tender spots and she released these what she called "trigger points" with her hands, but also with cupping. I have always loved cupping but she is a master of it. In some spots she put glass cups done with the traditional flame, but she also slid silicone cups which felt amazing. At times it was sore, but so relaxing I drifted in and out of sleep a few times. At the end Sonoko put a tiny little needle on a plaster on my main remaining sore spot which she instructed me to leave in place for a few days to further relieve pain. Japan is famous for great service and that is what you will get at Sonoko's. It was the little touches that made it different. The welcome and you fely she really cared, the water wasn't just ordinary but had fruit and tasted yummy, the heat and stem, the little needles to keep the treatment lasting. It was just different and the best massage I have had here in Australia or overseas. I have recommended my friends and no-one has been disappointed. She describes her style as East meets West and it was.
