Had brunch here on the weekend, great little cafe with impeccable service. Had the scrambled eggs with pesto and mushrooms, was pretty good but I had serious food envy of the girl sitting opposite me eating the Thai Fish Cakes. Good coffee and decent value for money.

Found Fix-It on WOMOW and chose to go with them as they offered me a better price than another business I'd inquired at. I was happy with the service, there was lots of communication and my computer now runs fine, despite the incovenience of having to get Windows re-installed, but that was unavoidable.

I'd had friends tell me this place is great, and it's right near where I live so I decided to try it out. Service is great, they're very friendly and attentive, and our meals arrived within 10 minutes. It's also quite cheap, from $12-16 for a noodle or main dish. My Singapore noodles weren't great however, quite bland and oily. Maybe would try it again and have something different, but can emphasise that they're very accommodating, my friend is allergic to chili and they were more than happy to make her Mee Goreng for her without it

This review is for Caboolture Caravan Park, Caboolture QLD

Stayed here as we were attending a music festival - can't fault the accommodation, it was very affordable, clean and the owners were great. However, as we didn't have a car, it was a bit annoying either having to walk the 2 km to the train station to get the bus out to the festival each day, or get a taxi - and there were no real restaurants or anything within comfortable walking distance. Considering the park was listed on the festival website as alternative accommodation to camping onsite, I guess I just expected we'd have more information available to us. But I guess that was more my fault for not researching better!

Would recommend if you have a car, or are stopping in Caboolture on your way through to somewhere.

This review is for The Forge Pizzeria, Alfredton VIC

These pizzas are amazing. Nothing beats proper woodfired pizza, made with fresh ingredients and handmade dough - I got the margharita and my friend got the pumpkin, which were incredible. The prices vary, you're looking at around $10-13 for a small, and up to around $19 for a large, but look, if you want cheap, crappy pizza - go to Dominoes. I for one am prepared to pay a bit more for something delicious and fresh. We did have a considerable wait to pick up our order but it was a Friday night and they told us that from the outset - I always see it as a good sign that a place is flat out busy.

Have been here twice now, the first time was a few months back to use an Age voucher - food and coffee was delicious. Returned today for a quick lunch before work - had the cauliflower and bacon soup which was yummy and warming, if not a little bland. Coffee was also tasty, but the coffee snob in me was a tad disappointed with the lack of crema and coffee grounds in the bottom - but look, that's only if I want to split hairs.

Took about 10-15 minutes for my soup to arrive - I think they were pretty busy and I only noticed because I was thought I was going to be late for work. Will be back for sure, good value for money.

This review is for Viet Star, Hawthorn VIC

Vietstar is a favourite of ours for boozy dinners for birthdays etc meals are very cheap (decent sized entrees for around $8 and mains from $13) and only $1 pp corkage too. Meals are consistently yummy, and delivery is very prompt.

It's not a huge restaurant and can get quite noisy, and my only bugbear (given, it seems quite petty) is that when you order your meal they ask if you want rice, in a manner that suggests it's complimentary. A few people said yes when put on the spot, probably not thinking, but it wreaked a bit of havoc when we were paying the bill, with people not realising their rice cost extra. But I like the atmosphere, and the affordability, particuarly if you're with a big group. They're very accommodating, for sure (added extra table and chairs when more of our party arrived late). Will be more than happy to go back.

This review is for Classy Nails, Hawthorn VIC

Am the last person to go get a manicure or pedicure, but my friend convinced me to go with her. We got both for $40 which is pretty cheap (?), I'm not sure, I don't have anything to compare it to. They did a really good job, our nails looked fantastic and the skin on my feet was so smooth afterwards. It seems family owned (judging by the wedding album at the front) and they speak amongst themselves in Vietnamese while they're tending to your nails, but that didn't bother me too much, better than awkwardly making conversation, my friend and I were free to chat!

Don't think an appointment is a necessity either, but obviously it's luck whether you can walk straight in or not

Thought I'd try out this place after a friend tried it a few weeks back. It's lovely and big, a nice change from the usual cramped (and often table sharing) conditions of many of the trendiest cafes. We had a lovely waitress, who was very attentive however her sense of humour stopped it being overbearing.

Menu is quite limited, lots of similar options - but they're still new so understandable. Great coffee (we tried the single origin) and food was yum and big serves! 2 coffees and a decent breaky for $20 - pretty good, in my opinion.
