The satays and rendang curries are tasty though ordinary. The decor is functional with nothing outstanding. The place can get very very smoky as the ventilation is rather poor. Naturally, your clothes smell of satay smoke after that.
A buzzing and bustling place and with long tables adorning the floor, so no intimate kissy kissy place this is. It's hard to get in and out if you sit near the wall. The woodfired pizzas are tasty - not as oily as most fast food pizzas.

Big restaurant - suitable for large groups. The food quality is pretty good. Neither modern nor dated, it's quite a cosy corner with ample parking during the day. Night time parking competes with nightclubbers and cinemas.

I love this quaint little place. It's cosy, comfortable and is of traditional Japanese setting. Service is good, food is good, price is good. Nothing overly flash nor impressive but overall, it's a place not to be missed if you like Japanese. would most definitely return many times over.

Food is not bad here. The setting is neat and has a Japanese feel with bamboo used in appropriate places. I admire the wooden bowls, plates and chopsticks with flowers painted on it which adds to the dining experience as much as the food itself.

Several years ago, this place was very overpriced and it wasn't as special as I expected, so I have not returned until recently. Time having reset my faith, I visited it once more. I ordered some glamourous sounding dish that was supposed to come fitted to a miniature Japanese boat. :( :( :(... the dish came out in a normal plate and when I asked about the boat, they claimed they had run out. But I paid for that boat, so I had better get that boat! It made my experience so average, unspecial. I will NEVER return ever again because for the 2nd time, I've been let down.

For women in our group, the food portions was just right though compared to other restaurants, it is rather small. They put a lot of salad on the plate so it looks rather filled but it wouldn't be enough for men without having entrees and sides. It is a cool venue with an upstairs area. I find that this Nedlands branch is much, much better than the Morley one in terms of service and decor.
Approximate cost: $23
The food is no doubt authentic. It's really more a take-out shop. if you want to eat in, be prepared to squeeze and squash into such a tight space (the size of an average master bedroom), the waiters have trouble getting the food to you. Their "5 minutes" is 15 minutes, so if you're told 10 minutes, you'd normally wait 30 minutes.

A surprise for an inexpensive Vietnamese restaurant - good food, nice decorations (modern green/ brown theme - nicely done), great value for money. After my first time, it has become one of my favourites. Beats the Emma seafood restaurant across the road hands down.

Having been warned about short changing at this restaurant, I still ALMOST got done at Dim Sum. The waitress ticked an extra high-valued item on our bill. At check out, the bill was higher than the number of ticks could add up to. We did our math only coz we were suspiscious and had been warned by many. I refused to believe the others believing it must've been bad luck. To my amazement, this appears to be an on-going trick. I will never visit this place ever again, no matter how great their food. by the way, their dim sum is as good as every other dim sim restaurant's, so I'd go to those instead.
