Great place to meet up for a drink as it still remains one of the hippest joints in Fortitude so far. Older crowd - late twenties up I'd say. Have eaten here for work lunches only and found the food a little underwhelming but still editable. Definitely recommend if you're looking for somewhere cool to hang out.

Went to the A&C on a saturday afternoon with the girls for cocktails. It's the sort of place where you can dress up a bit or go casual depending on how you feel. The tiki bar upstairs has the most amazing variety of cocktails that need to be tried. Downstairs makes a very good Sangria by the jug. They also serve food but if you are going on a weekend night book ahead as they get very busy.

I like this place for a beverage. Tiki bar is V cool, but V crowded on a Saturday night and it takes a long while to get a drink. Downstairs on the main deck is quicker service. I tried the Quineoa (however u spell it!) salad and was so disappointed! It was actually left uneaten on my plate after a few mouth fulls. It tasted like a mouthful of Ocean water-WAY too salty!! The description was amazing, but it certainly did not deliver. The meat looked amazing, so perhaps go carnivore. Great selection of wines-Im always stoked when there is a Chilean wine on the menu!

Approximate cost: $15-25

Went there on a friday night with some friends, we tried to book but they said they only take booking for large groups so we just rocked up on the night. Took a while to work out which counter to order at for the main meals, and all the staff were dressed so casually it was hard to pick out who was staff and who was customer waiting to be served!

The place was packed so we had to sit outside, which was pretty cold and dark. I tried the pork with vegetables - the pork serving size looked small, but turned out to be quite filling. The pork got cold very quickly as we were sitting outside so didn't taste so nice; the grilled vegetables on the other hand were sublime!!! It was grilled to a point where it's juicy and soft, and seasoned with just the right amount of salt, and was nice and hot when it was served.

We went upstairs to have a sneek peek and it looked very cool -- as it used to be a Queenslander they kept the rooms layout and had djs and ppl just chilling and hanging around.

Cool place to wind down after work, but if you wanna get proper dinner and chat to friends don't come on Friday nights as it does get very busy.

Approximate cost: $15-$30

Thanks. Went again last night and service was really good but the starters were expensive - like $17?!? Good for drinks but don't recommend if you're look for value for money. Waitress's were really attentive - too attentive at times. My friend had a chip in her hand and we were still eating and she asked if we were finished with one of the plates - that sort of thing grinds me big time. She kept bumping into my chair too. Was so annoying.

We had to book a table for friday night (which is all well and good and as expected) but they were quite fussy - the table had to be booked for at least 8 people and management warned us that we'd have to have ordered within 20 minutes of sitting down and that we'd all have to get a main meal. restaurant and bar was so busy that you can understand why they'd enforce such rules.
The drinks available at the bars before dinner were delicious but more pricey than the meal! The waitresses were friendly and checked if we were okay quite a few times which was good considering how busy it was. The meal was yum (I had a roast pork roll with chips and gravy). The roll was mostly coleslaw but the gravy was amazing! The food was good value (eg my meal was $14 - some others were roughly $14-$20).
Overall a fun night out at a busy, vibrant restaurant and bar with character. Will go back.

Approximate cost: $15

Great atmosphere here and a beautiful display of food (tasted good too!); it was impressive they had a good vegetarian selection too. I missed the alcoholic smoothie menu unfortunately - nuts cause that sounded good! The only criticism I had really was the drinks are wee bit pricey (they could use some additional drink menus) and the staff seemed like they could use some assistance due to the venue's popularity. Again, a really great atmosphere, we'll definitely be back – even just to kick back with a newspaper!

Approximate cost: $30

This is one of the coolest places I've been to in a while. It's an old Queenslander in the middle of The Valley that's been converted into a very retro/hipster bar with multiple rooms and music. They have an alcohol smoothy menu, need I say more? The decor is super cool and even the food it notable. Really good value bar meals in particular. But all of the food is innovative and high in quality. Not to mention if you eat there they validate your parking for 100% of the cost. Amazing. Keep it up A&C, love it.
