Amalgamated Pest Control

I have been using Amalgamated Pest control for many years. I was rung this morning to book my Annual Pest Control which I was quite happy to do UNTIL your operator and I had this discussion.....
I asked if existing LOYAL customers got a discount and the response was -
'NO only new and customer/or returning customers from say 5 years ago get a discount' ........you have just lost my annual pest control job.
I would like to thank Jarrad our usual representative (if he is still with your company) who did our house for us, for his professionalism & attention to detail each year he did our residence.
I agree you are an excellent company but maybe you've got to big for your boots........ there are many company's out there that are good, so I'm off to find one that will give me an upfront discount for being a loyal customer EVERY YEAR and a good job, they are out there. Totally offended LOYAL CUSTOMER.

What a shame

Fair trading was called to investigate Amalgamated pest controls Head office [redacted personal identifier] as they took our money and then broke the contract by not returning, stating that "they do not need a reason for not coming back" in their letter! ( I have this letter as proof ) FAIR TRADING concluded that there was a BREACH OF CONTRACT by Amalgamated pest control.
- A signed contract is a promise and commitment once you ( the customer) pay several thousand dollors to them. - More like thousands of dollars down the toilet by not hounoring their promise.
Sadly we could not believe that a well known company like this would treat us so bad, just when we really needed them! . When trying to contact their office "[redacted personal identifier] sticks his head in the sand like an Ostrich" and refuses to give any answer. Is this the way to run a professional company ? One of our neighbourhood friends said the same thing, that they took her money and forgot to keep coming out. She was so frustrated she said, she also had enough she said.
From my experience I would look for a more profesional company that shows some respect by communicating with its clients and not breaking its contract and ignoring you when you need their help before investing thousands of dollars and being let down, big time.
No wonder Fair trading came down with its ruling against Amalgamated Pest Control in a letter stating that they "breached the contract!
Sadly we ended up losing the house to termites after this happened despite sending numerous letters and emails pleading with them to return and fulfill the contract to no avail. We had to demolish the entire house and rebuild here in Brisbane.
Bad management and service, Beware.
If any tv journalists are interested in this case I can produce all the documents.

We had amalgamated arrive our new place early last year. They were more expensive then our usual pest controller but they were available. Absolutely lovely staff just a shame about the quality. We had them back to three times to rid the ants to no avail. I eventually have up and called someone else. Within a few months we had spiders and cockroaches. Will never use them again. A big shout-out to Amalgamated Pest Control and their staff. Every staff member that I've spoken to is lovely, helpful, knowledgable, and are happy to share their knowledge. From the receptionist, to Colleen in Termites who assessed the situation, answered my concerns about the chemicals they use and arranged for someone to come out quickly, to Tony who came out. They don't prey on your fears and don't recommend needless, expensive treatments. They will tell you if you DON'T need to treat at all, unlike some other companies we got quotes from. If you have a pest or termite problem, I cannot recommend Amalgamated Pest Control enough. Honest, professional, punctual, friendly and helpful.

I've used these guys and can't complain. They provide the service that they say they do. They aren't the cheapest nor the most expensive but they do have a well known name behind them. When you consider that if you find little creepies after they've sprayed, they will come back and re-treat then its a pretty good deal

It took a long time and alot of research before I agreed to use these guys. I wanted to know I was getting the best quality. My wife and I chose to go with a full termite barrier costing a whopping 4,000 and then there are yearly checks done for around $240. So it does get quite expensive. But touch wood (pardon the pun) we have not had any issues and I've seen first hand some friends who had massive issues with termites. I'm very happy with the service and the guy who comes out is always on time and does a full comprehensive check. I would thoroughly recommend these guys over many of the other options out there. Protect your investment!!!!

I moved house last year and got these guys in to give the new one a thorough going over before we moved in. I was lucky that it was pretty clear but they did some preventitive spraying, anyway. Haven't seen any little beasties so so far so good.

We have used these guys too. They did a thorough job and price was reasonable. No little pests running around since and it has been longer than we should have left it. Would recommend.

Perfect, they really looked after me as a customer, left no stone unturned. Phone manner was pleasant and they were very helpful answering all of my questions.

Good value for money and the workers were quick and tidy, left no mess and i haven't had any trouble with bugs since and i recommend using them again.
