Got my car transported over from Perth with Car Transport Express no problems. Was an easy/no stress drop off at the Perth Depot, everyone was friendly and professional. I called up once to check up on my car and the lady was friendly and helpful. She told me a date and my car actually came a day earlier than she told me it would. I dropped my car off in Perth on 12 August and it just arrived today, 7 Sept - so about 25 days. When I went to pick up the car at the Sydney Depot, I had no problems there either. My car was fine, and all the contents inside untouched. I would use this service again.

Decided to go against the negative reviews and give them a go. Was quoted 5 days for a car delivery from Brisbane depot to Adelaide Depot. When car didn't arrive a week later I then called and am told it will be there in another 2 weeks. When I spoke to Car Transport Express they said they would try and see what they could do but the car had not even left Brisbane yet. Still don't have my car and have not been followed up or received a phone call since, just an email saying that their quotes are based on "averages". When I specifically asked regarding transport time there was not a single mention of this 15-day turnaround.

Real cheap, no damage, a few weeks late but that's still okay for the price, couldn't find anything close to it. They were helpful enough on the phone..

I bought a Pajero privately from Brisbane in QLD. I was told by Car Transport Express that delivery to the depot in Perth would take between 13 and 17 working days. The car was collected from my friends house in Scarborough, QLD on WEDNESDAY 24TH FEBRUARY. I received an email from Car Transport Express telling me that the Carrier was SMB Transport and that I could track the Pajero by calling their office. I have just called SMB Transport today 2nd MARCH, and they have advised that the Pajero is STILL IN BRISBANE one week later. They advised that the Pajero is not expected into Perth until around 24TH MARCH!!! I am supposed to be going on holiday, towing a caravan, on 25th March and the Pajero does not have caravan brakes or electrics. If I had been advised honestly when I made the booking I would have either contacted another carrier or flown over and drove it back myself. NOT HAPPY WITH THE LACK OF COMMUNICATION BY CAR TRANSPORT EXPRESS OR SMB TRANSPORT.
It has now been 8 days since the vehicle was collected and IT IS STILL IN BRISBANE!!! Nobody can tell me when the Pajero will leave Brisbane and no accurate delivery date into Perth.
Terrible customer service. Worst company ever....DO NOT USE!

I'm writing this review even though my car has not been delivered as yet. I rang many companies to get a 40 year old car from Cairns to Canberra and when I rang Car Transport express and got a quote they said I could call back and quote teh ref number if i wished to continue. I told the customer service officer I would like to pay now, and I raised the issue of spare parts in the boot and agreed to an extra cost. From the outset these guys contacted me regarding pick up and affirmed the schedule by each stage. When my car hit Brisbane, it broke down and they invested significant time trying to diagnose it and get it going so it could make teh next available leg to Sydney. Unfortunately the issue was complex and I arranged for a mechanic to repair it using the spares in teh boot (best investment I ever made). Car Transport Express, when I confirmed it was going and said it would be dropped off in 4 days time, then asked me for the address and went and collected it at their own time and expense. Once they had done so, the rang me to confirm everything was ok. I have never used a car transport company before and these guys constantly talked me through the process and made the experience as stress free for me as possible. I can highly recommend them, they probably feel they were just doing their job, but I feel they went above and beyond to deliver excellent customer service. And the price? Much less than what it would have cost me to drive up and collect it myself!

Please don't use them! things go missing via them and their light handed subcontractors.
They don't practice active customer care, you have to pursue them. You have to constantly re-phone them because they do not ever call you back.
They clamp up when you ask for verification of their claims by requesting the police report id number.
